    http://www.humblebundle.com/

Super Meat Boy, Bit Trip Runner, Shank, Jamestown, Night Sky HD and if you beat the average price (like 5 dollars) you get Cave Story and Gratuitous Space Battles.

    Worth it!

Really ****ting these bad boys out!

Jamestown, by the way, is the finest PC Indie game in years.

Balls spent all my money on my O2 card a minute ago. Would really love Cave Story+ and Jamestown. Ah I'll wait until next week to get it.

Got it just for Cave Story, was almost gonna buy it last week! Lucky me, now I get loads of other great games!

Yeah I had my cursor hovering over Cave Story on Steam some time last week too :)

First time i already had some of the games on steam, should i not get gift copies of the ones i already owned?

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Arts Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 30,014 CMod ✭✭✭✭johnny_ultimate

There's a disclaimer saying you can't underneath the key section on the site.

My copy of Jamestown didn't register (although downloaded the non-steam version just in case). And my previous copy has disappeared from my Steam library too! Annoying, as I wanted access to my cloud save.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,924 ✭✭✭✭RolandIRL

Steam will not provide you with extra giftable copies of any bundle games you already own prior to redeeming your bundle key(s).
I took that to mean i wouldn't get gift copies before redeeming it. oh well, can hardly complain for €4 :)

although still haven't got my email yet. never had this problem before. Got into the key page after being sent back from Paypal.

edit: nvm, email just came :) never had this delay before

Ordered! Have wanted Shank, SMB and Gratuitous Space Battles for a while, Jamestown looks like a lot of fun and Cave Story has piqued my interest.

Cave Story is one of the best games you'll ever play. Definitely give it a go.

It's a fantastic bundle. Sure it always is. But especially so this time.

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 28,633 Mod ✭✭✭✭Shiminay

Just played some Jamestown - LOVED it :D And it has local shared screen multiplayer which is pretty cool :D

Awesome, I'm too poor to be buying full-priced games right now :)

Their new changes to the money customisation thing seems to be bugged, so just keep your eye on it when you're paying.

SMB and Bit.Trip have appeared in my Steam inventory, so you do get gift copies it seems :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,315 ✭✭✭Big Knox

Ah man only seen this now, love it. Haven't actually played any of them so this bundle is excellent. Have been waiting to play Cave Story too!! :)

Picked up one for myself and another 2 for my nephew and a friend who is skint atm. Love that the money is going to a good cause!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,816 ✭✭✭✭K.O.Kiki

You know, since the games are DRM free you COULD actually let your nephew or friend download your copies...
    :pac:
DON'T BAN ME RETRO, IT'S THE TRUTH!

That story got blown out of proportion a bit.
The red cross confirmed that they are not investigating games for commiting war crimes and that to be guilty of a war crime you would need to commit a real life crime.

This is the first time the Humble Bundle hasn't got any games I already own.. so a very easy decision to buy it this time. :)

Anyone who's bought the little big bunch, do you get a steam key for the non-steamworks games? There's not a lot of info on the page there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,816 ✭✭✭TheChrisD

Grrr, I'd just bought Cave Story on Steam a couple weeks ago...

Dont know, it's putting me off getting it aswell and i have frozen synapse too

Just got it. Seems like a good deal. Paid 6 dollars. I have super meat boy already but the others seem interesting.

I gave 90% of mine to the devs and 10% to the site itself. None to the charity for personal reasons.

I really enjoyed gratuitous Space Battles when it was on one of the Steam sales last year

same, got it with an earlier bundle...

according to this thread, it seems like you don't get steam keys for the other games, and there's keys missing for some of the games while there's a backlog of emails :/

think i'll avoid it if this is the case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,267 ✭✭✭mcgovern

Guess I'll get this to go with the previous bundles, and stick them on steam in the hope that one day my PC won't scream in protest if I try play any of them :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,816 ✭✭✭✭K.O.Kiki

I did not realise it until I saw in another thread, but the GODLIKE Jamestown OST is included in the bundle!

I bought and downloaded the games in work this morning. Now I've just realised I don't have any way of bringing them home until tomorrow as I forgot to bring a USB key in with me. D'oh!

All these small purchases add up. :(

But think of all the money I'm saving!!!

Why would I use Steam when I've got the games downloaded already? Anyway it's no biggie, I've a USB stick put into my jacket pocket so I can start going through the games over the weekend.

Why wouldn't you, that's the question

Is anyone having problems with some of the games?

Both Cave Story and Bit Trip Runner have failed to install for me, the zip for the former won't extract and the latter installation .exe keeps crashing.

Others I've tried are fine - GSB looks insanely complicated, and I'm already learning to hate Super Meat Boy :)

    yes

Okay well we're probably going to go off-topic and it's not something I really want to get into regardless but I had to use Steam back in 2004 during the debacle that was the Half Life 2 authentication process. On account of that I haven't used Steam since and don't intend to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

The fact that they're DRM free is the main selling point for me. If they were steam only, I wouldn't be bothered. Interestingly, this is the opposite to some people's preferences but the options the HIB offers means everyone is happy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,089 ✭✭✭DjFlin

    Just got it.

Already have Super Meat Boy on Xbox, but sure, its a good enough game to play through twice. Looking forward to having a go at Bit.Trip Runner.

I really love these bundles, they're great value, though it kinda saddens me to know that a lot of people will only pay a cent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,816 ✭✭✭TheChrisD

They've just added the HiB#3 to this bundle if you pay over the average. I also assume it applies to prior purchases as well since I got it despite only buying originally for $4.65!

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 52,394 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

I hope it does, only bought it an hour ago and gave them 10 dollars :(

Edit: Just checked, it does :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,924 ✭✭✭✭RolandIRL

Got the HIB#3 as well, even though i already bought it the first time it came around...
