Dunnes are running a '12 days of Christmas' daily special offers until Dec 22nd.

Yesterday the 11th was a 10kg bag of Rooster potatoes for 2.99 from 4.99 and Poinsettia 2.99 from 7.99.

    Today's are Haagen Daaz 500ml €2 from 5.35 and HB Romantica €3 from 6.69.

I assume they are available for the one day only.

If the first person who thinks of it would post up the daily offer from their website it would save everyone going searching for it.

Roosters are always that price! Pretty sneaky dunnes...

Great price for the haagen daaz though!

Saw this promotion yesterday. Did not think it was a bargain.
Just because a supermarket spends money on advertising something does not mean it is a bargain alert!

Dunnes have that Haagen-Dazs 500ml on special anyway at €2.67 from 30/11-13/12. A bit misleading to say it is reduced from €5.35 for today only.
See page 6 of the special offers leaflet for details http://www.dunnesstores.ie/page.php?pid=765

It's the RRP.. as opposed to the reduction in it's previous price.

It does not say RRP in the advert. If I were looking at that advert for the first time, I'd assume that the normal price €5.35 is crossed out and the price for today is €2.00, as it is a ' daily sale' item.
This is also what the OP assumed.

We'll see what the rest of this promotion has to offer.

Very few retailers (bar Lidl and Aldi) would state the previous price when referring to an item on special.. they'd always refer to the overinflated and more-enticing-to-the-consumer RRP.

Semantics, point of unfortunate focus is the €2 price tag, eight of them in the freezer for Xmas treats*

*(as if they'll last that long)

    Thanks OP.:)

Grabbed multiple tubs of Haagen D for Xmas.
I don't mind the fact that its marketed with the RRP. For most of the year it does sell at ~€5 in Dunnes and most other places I've been to.

Hit Dunnes today and stocked the freezer for my daughters, now they better get here before I finish them all off :p:p:p:p

That would be great if its true! Does the site update the deals early in the morning, as I'd say that they will sell out quickly at that price and I'd like to get there early.

I heard sneakily that coca cola is wednesdays offer and whatever it is will be €5 so i'm gonna guess its the 24 or 18 cans of coke, nobody shoot me if i'm wrong though!

Not a bargain if you don't need it.

I was in the branch in North Earl Street 2 weeks ago looking at dishwasher tabs,a staff member came over, took down the price label for 1 pack,(can't remember the price, but was aprox €8),and replaced it with a 'Half price now €5.99'. Now I wasn't the best at maths, but that didn't appear to be half price.

    Dishwasher Tabs €5 for 36

Think its 18 cans of coke tomorrow for €5 and Dunnes know nothing about the box of crisps being on offer.

I am just back from my local Dunnes. They still have the Haagen Dazs and HB Romantica on sale for €2 and €3.

They have the 20 party box of Tayto and King crisps conspicuously stacked up at €4.99. They could very well be offer tomorrow or later in the week.

EDIT: my mom was on the phone to a friend of her's whose niece is a Dunnes store manager (3rd hand info I know). But the packs of crisps and tins of biscuits are coming up on the offer as well like Afternoon Tea from €12 to €6 etc (do not hold me to being right on the brand). My mom's friend who lives a bit outside of the Town could not be making it into Dunnes everyday so she has given the niece the money to get her what she wants when they come up on offer and she will drop them out to her. 3rd hand info I know but reliable nonetheless.

    18 x 330 mls = 5.94 litres

Tesco are selling 4 x 2000 mls = 8 litres for 5€ at mo. Ok not cans but dunnes and the rest can well afford to sell the cans at 7€ or 5€.

    Bleedin robbery :)

These deals have mostly sucked so far, it seems like stuff that they were going to reduce anyway. Now that I think about it, Haagan Daaz has been €2.50 in my local for the past few weeks. Maybe they're saving a couple of good deals until the end?

    Still so delicious though.

Was in Dunnes this morning the cans of coke are in the store room but the staff dont know as yet either what day they will be on offer all they do know is they have a pallet load of them to go out on the floor over the coming days so just sit tight.

Coke will be tomorrow (Thurs), spoke to a manager in store this morning.

Today's offer of Pineapple and Melon at 25c - not a bad deal but that's all they are worth - Pineapple is tiny and the Melons look as hard as the hob of hell !

I was looking at a pair of Melons but they just looked too hard for me !! :D

Much prefer a "hard" melon. Will ate it when it softens. Much better than the "too" soft (close to rotting) melons that Tesco always seem to have.

I picked up a rotting pineapple this morning without checking. Beware!

Is the deal for that day only or for the 12 days? I managed to get the Haagen daz for 2E today.
