When they say you're allowed to miss up to 3 tutorials, do they mean 3 per term or 3 in the whole year?

I think it differs from course to course. One of out TAs mentioned that you could miss up to three a year/ one a term.

Wouldn't it be best just not to miss any!?

I was under the impression that you're excused if you miss one per module. It could vary from course to course.

In maths you can miss all of them and no one will say a thing...

    It depends on your course.

In TSM French & Spanish, we have to attend at least 80% of our classes per term so that means we can't miss more than 3 tutorials per module (techically, we can only miss 2.2 out of 11 tutorials a term but no-one's quite that picky :P)

Of course, not every lecturer keeps track of attendance...:P

Your best bet is to contact the head of your dept. or your tutor.
