    Whey

I always say this. Its just a processed food with a high protein content, not magic muscle juice.

Don't let the processed word turn you off, I find them great for extra calories and protein, my point is the brand doesn't matter a f*ck. all that matters is how much protein is in it per gram of product.

Therefore I would go for value and buy this one here

SunWarrior Rice Protein is expensive, but great.

Reflex Natural Whey is ok too - but less digestible than SunWarrior.

Many others have loads of additives, flavourings, etc.

From what i have seen most gaa lads take whey/creatine mono and if they get wind of jacked they might throw that in for training and match days.

Does rice even have the same amino acid profile as whey?

Its is typically not seen as a "complete" protein. There is an interesting debate on Muscletalk beginning as Gaspari have now included it as part of their myofusion blends. Cynics obviously think this is to reduce costs as the price of whey and mpc are rising. Gaspari argue it enhances flavour etc etc.

Page 1-4 are mostly rubbish. Page 5-6 is where some discussion is starting with some interesting stuff on page 6. Should develop over the next few days.
