I dont like how the videos show him putting on the mask and then it dropping to the ground on fire. Its like they arent sure if he will have the mask or not. :(

Good question. Well the return of Kane, the return of the scary monster that he was once built as. When he first came to attack Undertaker, he was scary, WWE are missing guys like that. Granted they have a few but they need more.

i'll have to think of a return storyline; but i'm very happy to see kane returning with a mask (here's hoping they don't pull the plug on it)

if it hadn't been done already i'd love the fake/masked kane storyline. total hokey cornball mid 90s stuff, where kane would start caring about someone (which i guess means a gf storyline) then have them taken out/killed etc and have kane go mental. then have his fractured psyche split and he starts seeing hallucinations of his former self. at first classic kane would be innocuously in the background; (maybe only a split second in the background); both kanes would never at the same place at the same time; people would think Kane's dressing up as classic kane again. then over months the apparitions would become more prominent. parts of kane's past would start showing up and then eventually he could smash a mirror and some other abyss stuff and classic kane would actually be there. some fire sequences etc later it'd probably have to lead to a match....i'd have them brawl/hardcore and fight and both would plunge into a fire pit. then only current-kane would emerge (show maybe a charred body-double burning or some dust skeleton remains or something) and don the mask himself; and he's now whole again, and a monster.

i dunno, there's a rough idea out of my noodle, needs to be shorn up but you get the jist :p

I have said for a long time I wanted to see Kane disappear, maybe get buried alive. No word or sight of him for months, no teaser videos. Then return where we have seen the best of Kane, as a surprise entry at the Royal Rumble, A vastly different Kane enters to the one we have seen in recent years possibly a return to the old masked Kane. Wins the Royal Rumble like a man possessed. He finally gets a proper run as Champ after Wrestlemania.

I'm not sure how this could fit in to the current situation, but was something I wanted to happen for a long time.

The thing about the mask is, even if he's been growing his hair since he left, it's still not going to be long. He's not going to look the same. This isn't the return of masked Kane, it's a combination of the Kane we have now and masked Kane

As king as they don't bring Paul bearer back for another hidieous storyline I'm happy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,023 ✭✭✭seandotcomm

maybe the image of the burning mask dropping to the ground indicate the bit of the old self harm...

Like there's a shot of kane burning a photo of himself when he had just taken his mask off on Raw. maybe he's mad he ever took it off and decided to burn himself so he can come back as a monster

Hasn't he effectively been killed off about 3 times now. He got shoved down a manhole by Kane and Austin, buried in a Concrete Crypt by Taker and pushed over a high ledge in a wheel chair by Kane.

If they were thinking of bringing Kane back with the mask, they should have planned this out ages ago. They should have had him leave in a segment where he got pushed into a fire of some sort (a staged accident with his pyro could have been cool) therefore giving him a reason to return with the mask. But I suppose we are talking about WWE creative here who, in most cases, don't seem to think long term.

I just hope he dosen't return with that same theme before he left. That theme sucks. He needs the burned theme back, or preferably a newer version of it. Although I wouldn't say no to slow chemical either. Just as long as it's not the current one.

I think this theme might suit him aswell. If it is a new theme.

    Or this one

Would love to see Kane when a RR once and for all. But not in the typical fashion where he comes in as entry 20 of 30 and cleans house for 10 mins like every other RR he's ever been in.

It would have to be something that no-one has every done before while winning the RR .. like maybe eleminating every single competitor single handedly, something unique.

If that ever happened i think i would give up on wwe altogether.

Maybe when he was in his prime it might have been a cool thing to do, like say Royal Rumble 99. But not the right thing to do now. Better to give it to a younger star. My predictions this year will either be Sheamus or Wade Barrett.

Yeah, but he wore a wig when he had the mask (or at least towards the end of it). When he took off the mask, the long hair was gone, but he still had a head of short, curly hair. It's not inconcievable they'd do that again.

Maybe it will be a "New look" as in its the same as how he looked when he left but with the mask; still bald and no vest....

    Partial Source: Pwinsider

Word is that Kane will be on the RAW brand as a heel when he returns. Kane is scheduled to be back before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

On a related note, there’s been a lot of speculation on whether or not Kane will be masked when he returns. Word is that that decision is still up in the air. Officials wanted to use the mask in the video so there would be no question that it was for Kane’s return. It’s also interesting that with both Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara out, there is no masked man in WWE right now. As everyone knows by now, masks are a huge seller for WWE.

Sure he will be face within 6 months again

How the hell did they manage to monumentally **** up a returning masked Kane? Idiots.

If he is wearing the mask, and they start selling the mask at a reasonable price on the wwe shop website because of it, I am buying one.
Forgot Raw was on, looking at it now.. The mask doesn't look as cool :(

Wasnt expecting that last night tbh.
Im delighted but what story are they going to use? 'Yeah I put the mask back on because my emotional scars have returned, also I got this new shampoo called 'insta-hair', grow its super long over night!'

It's a massive swerve. He'll be unmasked and it'll be Isaac Yankem underneath! That dastardly dentist is making a comeback.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,477 ✭✭✭Riddle101

Meh the mask is alright, but it's nothing on his old 2001 mask or 97/98 mask. That was the best. I'll have to get used to this mask though, might take me another show
