Any recommendations for a really good sports massage? Have only ever had the odd visit to a physio and my own attempts at shifting scar tissue resulting from (and a cause of!) bicipital tendonitis have only gotten me so far. I can still feel some tender areas around the shoulder that could probably benefit from being mashed up by someone in the know! I'm D6 but will travel for the right place. Was considering Dene Hickey. Thanks

If you can travel I'd recommend Dave Murphy up in Navan!! He's really good & has added to his knowledge base since finishing the course in 06.

He also uses Graston technique, this helped me big time with scar tissue in my ankles, I've also seen it fix other problems first hand when I shadowed Dave last year. I've done the course myself (I should be recommending myself ;)) & out of all the NMT's I've met Dave has impressed me the most!

Thanks but when I said I'd travel I didn't mean that far. Thanks anyway though for replying!

35 minutes up the M3 isn't that far! Ah well, good luck with it anyway!

Yeah fair enough, I should have clarified that I don't have a car so Dublin public transport or walking will be how I'll have to get there.

    Dan Horan

    http://www.portobellophysio.ie/about-us.html

Just to give you my background

He did the trigger point needle technique on a really deep tear in an upper thigh muscle (predominant kicking leg) near my pelvis. The injury was weeks old and it was showing little improvement, despite a good few physio sessions and rehab) went to him the week before a championship game and the did the TPN. Played the game kicked out 30 or 40 balls, no ill effects.
