RAW takes place from the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa Bay, FL.
As noted earlier, Triple H was being advertised for RAW as recently as Saturday, but is no longer listed in the advertising. The arena is currently advertising CM Punk defending his WWE title against John Cena and Alberto Del Rio and a 41 man cross-brand Battle Royal for the show, both of which are likely dark matches. Kevin Nash also stated on his Twitter that he would be on hand for tonight's show, writing, "Made up my mind, packing my wrestling gear. Someones getting a beat down in Tampa..."

Who will Miz take out tonight and will Clay finally re-debut

Kevin Nash bringing his ring gear. Think i'm already feeling drowsy reading that. Raw will have to wait until thursday again this week. Surely Brodus Clay will debut this week i'd rather if he jumped to smackdown now cause pushes seem to be done much, much better there.

Brodus Clay is the definition of a babyface. Body of a man with the face of a toddler.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Miz/Cena scenario which could lead to a match maybe at TLC for No.1 Contender to face Punk for the WWE title. With Miz winning of course

    No more Miz/Cena please!

I assume Miz will carry on with his tough guy, loose cannon schtick until Vince realises that it's not believable in the slightest

I think it was Alvarez who mentioned it, but i agree, Miz's faux-hawk and (impeccable clean-shave) needs to go. Nobody with a faux-hawk is intimidating. I know nobody else really has one but every aspect of him needs to say "take me seriously". He dropped the jorts and needs to drop the faux-hawk.

That said, changing hair to boring didn't exactly do much for Tyson Kidd!

I assume Riley will be next in Miz's hit list. Nobody can possibly take Miz seriously, he just doesn't exude any kind of aura.

Seems like crowd signs are making a comeback..

Hope the ring implodes with these two in it!

Not another fatal four way for the title.

Ziggler v Punk would be cool!

Fatal 4 way for the contendership I'd say.

Ziggler better be careful calling out Ronnie from The Jersey Shore. He holds a pinfall victory over the current Television Champion of the World.

So who from Smackdown is losing tonight?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

    Not Orton anyway!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

I cant see Orton laying down for miz..

Rejuvenated Miz my hole,he's as stale as Jerry Lawler's commentary!

    Barrett to interfere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 229 ✭✭TheBantam

Screwy finished with Barrett distracting Orton?

Did anyone catch the twitter URL interference?

What a terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible finish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

LOL. That's how they think Miz will be taken seriously? F*cking laughable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

Why not have miz go up against someone else and have a rematch between Ziggler and Orton end like that?

    Grrrrr....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

I dont like this at all.

And its purely because it has that shíte dubstep behind it.

Cena with that Ryder outfit - he finally transformed into Darren Young:

Nash in a ladder match equals trouble. And that's the big announcement of Nash/HHH? Seriously?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 418 ✭✭:Keith:

Trying to decide already whether I should head to the fridge for a beer during the inevitable Divas match or Trips/Nash at TLC. Decisions, decisions...

Have a feeling Cena will let Ryder win and then help him win the US title.

or maybe he will beat him senseless and continue the slight turn that was begun last week?

Aw nooo, they ruined the gimmick. :(

So as the match is no DQ, who is gonna do the run in to help Ryder win?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 443 ✭✭Colilfc

    Nice gut on Nash there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

Cole said Nash has held 21 titles in his career. His WWF and WCW title count comes to 18, you'd have to include his TNA title wins to get to 21.

Thought it was a decent Raw last night. My only real complain is that I think I would have had Henry beat Ryder to make Cena's sacrifice actually mean more. Imagine what giving up a title shot for ultimatly nothing would have done to this Cena storyline. But then that's subtle writing and I guess we've got to make sure Cena is a hero.

So....over/under on how long it takes next week for Cena to get added to the WWE title match? :pac:

OH! And is that confirmation we're getting Masked Kane back?

Another good week for me. Lots of little things that show WWE still know how to tell entertaining stories when they want to.

Glad Cena got to be the boy scout without being overbearing. Liked Swaggler™'s backstage segment and appreciated Cole doing a 180 on Bryan just for the Ryder/Henry match. Plus Laurinaitis' future endeavour spiel, Rodriguez's pose for the photo, Santino's power walk (ditch the sock please), the almost probably Jericho video, Punk being Punk and Back to the Future references!

Whatever they've done these past two weeks is working. Keep it up through WrestleMania and beyond, please.

Thought that was the best Raw in a few weeks. Having the title opportunity matches through the night was a simple and effective way of keeping some sort of consistency throughout and kept the emphasis on both the WWE and US titles. Pity about Ziggler not getting through but hopefully he drops his title and gets moved up to WWE title after.
Loved the groan from the crowd when Henry's music played too.

The Cena stuff was alright, at first I didn't get the logic of him having to give up his title shot for Ryder to just a match but considering it was him that cost Ryder in the first place, it does make sense. It's beginning to look suspiciously like the textbook heel turn storyline though, i.e., get friendly with and help out a very popular wrestler then screw them over down the line. Anyone else and I'd be convinced that was going to happen. Don't know where he goes now, surely they can't keep him out of the PPV.

Nash - HHH in a ladder match? Meh.

Overall, pretty solid. Sold the two title matches fairly well which was the most important thing.

See, thats why I think Ryder should have lost against Henry. Imagine how that would have feuled this Cena storyline. He gives up his title match cause he believes in this "young guy" and it turns out he wasted it. It would maybe lead to him questioning his faith in the fans he works so hard for. He gives and gives and for what?

Enjoyed that RAW show - all the matches meant something which made it excting (I don't count divas matches as part of the show and Nash/Santino was too short to count as a real match). Note that Sheamus was the only Smackdown guy to win.

What is up with the Nash-HHH storyline? That should be a huge match. But there has been little or no buildup over the last couple of weeks other Nash beating up Santino twice and no sign of Triple H either. It was a bit of a waste. Hopefully the match will make up for it.

Ricardo covering ADR's ears with his hands when Punk (I think) was slating him gave me a right laugh. Rodriguez is a legend. Good show overall. Even Funkman is being used better, playing up how incredibly annoying he is.

3 things stood out for me last night

Cena Vs Ryder was a good match, Damn I'll eat my hat if Zack isn't WWE or WH champ someday.

Hearing Shrillex on WWE tv... :P

And lastly Laringitis wishing JoMo "all the best" live
