got 3 exams this week and 3 next week. They should be grand but i'm still not sure if my calculator is allowed.
It says uni standars ones are allowed but i cant find which ones are uni standard and which arent anywhere.
Does anyone know if a sharp EL-W531 is OK??

Leave quietly and there'll be no trouble.....

    Five exams.

One today, went OK, could have gone better, but could have been worse.

One tomorrow..... undecided on how that'lll go.

One Monday, gonna be painful, but manageable hopefully.

One next Thursday, I'll likely be at the top of the highest building ready to jump off by the end....

And one on Saturday 17th, worth 40%, have about 30-35% already, so should be grand.

Then the piss up of all piss ups in the stables that day/night!! :D

5 exams in all, starting tomorrow!

Tomorrow - should be ok with it
    Wednesday - pretty screwed.
Saturday - A good 2 days study should see me through.
    Tuesday - See Wednesday ;)
Thursday - Not to bad for a last exam.

The kicker is all my exams are on in the morning but the last one is on at half bloody 4........................so wont make it to stables til at least half 6

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 918 ✭✭✭Agent_99

It's good to hear that there will be a few around the stables on sat 17th evening my last exam is at 4 on Sat so will be in there around 6ish.

Wed - Should be OK tough exam and high failure rate but have studied my ass off
Thurs - Hoping that 3 good questions answered will get me through

Fri - Stats, what can I say it could go either way

Thur - Another tough one, Have not opened a book for it yet

Sat - Got grinds so should have enough to scrape a pass like last semester.

Don't have any exams as I'm on co-op but I just started my report today. You may want to stay away from the CSIS building for a couple days because I am going to be producing BS by the truckload!

    Let me guess; Business Studies?

FYI if you're in the PESS building use the back door. It took me ages to figure out how to get in on Tuesday. :o

Why aren't they called winter exams?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 764 ✭✭✭floutingmaxims

Cause it's the Autumn semester. Duh! :p

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,720 ✭✭✭Sid_Justice

I think they should be called winter, summer and repeat exams. Save all this nonsense.

    Yeah, its totally nonsensical.

    Wait! No its not.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,720 ✭✭✭Sid_Justice

It is a bit. In fact naming semesters after seasons is entirely nonsensical. It should be Semester 1 and Semester 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 764 ✭✭✭floutingmaxims

Semester 1 Exams or 1st Semester Exams just doesn't have the same ring to it. Having a season in there sounds nicer and what better foundation to choose a name upon than the pleasure it brings to our ears.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,734 ✭✭✭J_E

Calling it Winter or Christmas exams would make a bit more sense to me anyway. Always looking up one of those terms when looking for past papers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭scruffystack

What a silly arguement to be having at 6 o clock in the morning!

Got 4 exams left myself, all well spread out and all on at 4.. Dunno how I feel about 4 o clock exams tho, I always thought half 12 was the best exam time, day drags out with 4, just waiting to get over em!

It is a bit. In fact naming semesters after seasons is entirely nonsensical. It should be Semester 1 and Semester 2.

Semester 1 is autumn semester first year, semester 2 is spring semester first year, semester 3 is autumn semester second year, etc so that wouldn't work. Autumn semester is named so because it starts in autumn: makes sense!

Are you actually for real? Is there anything right with UL? Honestly, do you have a good thing to say about the place?
