If anyone is looking for a really filling lunch, I'd like to recommend this one which I had today: a bed of lettuce, rocket and spinach leaves, tomato, tinned mackerel fillets, quinoa and a couple of potatoes for lunch today. It has kept me so full that I couldn't eat any meal this evening, only a cup of tea and a couple of biscuits. Just thought I'd share! :-)

    That's a starter, not a lunch.

Nope, it was a full lunch packed with essential nutrients, small portions of each foodstuff. Try it. :-)

I'll try it thanks, but I find that outside on these cold days I need more carbs & protein to fuel the old internal boiler.

    Huh?!

Well, this meal gave me lots of carbs from the potatoes and heaps of protein (probably too much) from the mackerel and the quinoa!!! So your above statement makes no sense at all!

The Tesco tinned mackarel fillets with tomato sauce are devine (and really cheap!) I love Quinoa too - sometimes a few chopped up sun dried tomatoes mixed through add really nice flavour
