I'm just wondering what things people have done when they left the country for a year abroad that they wouldnt dream of doing at home.

I'm living in Canada at the moment and I have found i have become quite amoral about some things. I've experimented with drugs such as MDMA and others which i would never have dreamt about doing at home. Will probably try some more before I leave. I had only ever smoked weed at home and not a lot of it. I've also been prone to some shoplifting which I have never ever done before. Not even a bar of chocolate back in Ireland but a fair proportion of my groceries go under my jacket here. Both of these things (drugs and stealing) are almost the norm here in the town i'm living in and my morals seem to have been carried along with everyone elses. Basically, i've done things my mammy would be very disappointed with.

Anyone done things like this when they left the country?

Obviously. I definitely dont have another account on boards that my friends and family know of. And if I did I would definitely post incriminating and damaging information about myself on that rather than set up a new anonymous account to ask a question.

Good to know cos that would most definitely not be cool.

I know little angels who are hoovering up cocaine in bolivia at the minute, and people raving about how amazing MDMA is.......sense of i told ye so!

I run up the escalators here in London instead of waiting for them to bring me to the top of the stairs, not only in the tube stations though, in shops too! I'd never dream of this behaviour back home.

I've turned into a mad yoke so I have. :-l

Ireland was just too cramped and parochial to contain your gargantuan and crazy non-conformity.

Wow so you aint living properly as a youth unless you've tried drugs?i tried MDMA and had a horrific experience.it doesn't suit everyone and id imagine most young people are wild enough without drugs anyway

I threw pool furniture into a swimming pool. Closest I could do here would be to throw my couch into the bath.

Normally "pics or GTFO" is a humorous adition to a thread with no real meaning. In your case however....
