But... Obsidian make terribly buggy games. Also SouthPark RPG... this sounds awful and I love SouthPark.

Yes but they also make terribly interesting games and when they actually work and NPCs aren't flaoting into the ground they're amazing.

I liked alpha protocol and fallout new vegas , buggy yes , still brilliant games in their own right

Theres 5 more seasons :eek:.. Tbh South Park has just gone to crap now.. New season wasn't all that good (especially the 2nd half).. But by god do I love the sound of this game ...

Yeah The Simpsons Hit and Run was one of my favourite PS2 games.. If it is anything like it, it shall be awesome..

5 more indeed, comedy central renewed it until 2016, i actually liked this season but your right, the 2nd half wasn't as good as the first

Glad to see they're making a console version, since the one thing that's been missing from the whole Xbox 360 experience has been an opportunity to experience young children yelling obscenities and trying to be pointlessly offensive, with a dash of knee-jerk libertarian smugness.

This could all be a load of hoop...but if its not then booo at the dungeon siege 3 engine, the game was pants But hopefully they can turn it into something wonderful and utterly abusively disgusting!

I read somewhere it plays like Mario & Luigi games on the DS and there are rpg style character classes.
AH yes richymcdermott posted it on the last page. This game is one to keep a eye on for sure.

The mario and luigi games are great, think it would work great for a south park RPG. Definitely don't want a castle crashers game, bored the arse off me.

It looks like a standard turn based RPG set up to me.

You can see the characters are always in the same general positions in each screen (heroes on the left villians on the right) except when performing an action.

Don't they have full access from Parker and Stone? If so, it would only make sense to look like the cartoon. I was kinda worried about the turn based system (if there is one) and rembered FF VII and my worries went away.

You'll be in for a treat then. FFVII has one of the most simplistic and dull battle turn based battle systems

South Park is all animated on PC's now so all Parker and Stone have to do is turn over the art assets to Obsidian to make use of. It's not like they have to hire good animators either!

The more I think about this, the more I feel it will be the most awesome-est thing ever created in the history of the universe ever. As you can see I'm trying not to get too hyped up about it.

I can see it being very like Costume Quest since that has a very Mario and Luigi battle system. Would be great if it was because costume quest is fantastic.
