Books on Irish bad weather

    Can anyone recommend a book on Irish bad weather for a gift...

    I see there's a book out called Ireland's Arctic Siege     THE BIG FREEZE OF 1947.

    and i heard Kieran Hickey also has weather books out..

    Any recommendations? Thanks

    His 'Deluge' book is a good read. Main focus is on the severe flooding during November 2009 but other extreme events are touched upon as well. Also listed in the book is a comprehensive list of the most severe winters in Ireland over the last 2000 years.
