Uncontrollable Eating

I posted here a few months ago and since then I've lost nearly 20lbs but recently I've been finding it seriously difficult to lose any more weight and I've actually put on 4lbs in the past 2 weeks.

I've binged several times on sugary foods and bread and I've just generally been eating too much each day but I can't seem to stop myself and it's driving me insane! I know 4lbs isn't too much but I'm terrified that this will turn into 10 which will turn into 20 and then all my hard work over the past couple of months will have been for nothing.

Does anyone have any advice on how to motivate myself to lose the last 5lbs? I know how to do it, I know quite a bit about eating healthily I just can't seem to make myself do it.

(Btw I'm 18 and female.. obviously)

Cravings and binging typically occur because you're not eating enough calorie wise, or you're eating too carb heavy and causing massive insulin & blood sugar level fluctuations.

Eating healthy foods, and eating for weight loss aren't always the same thing.

How much do you weigh, how many kcals are you taking in daily, how much protein are you eating daily?

(and fair play on the 20lb, you've obviously done something right up until now!!)

    Thanks for your reply :)

I'm 5ft 2 and weigh 115lbs which I know is 'technically' a healthy weight according to the BMI scale. But when I look in the mirror I know that I would be a lot happier if I could just lose a few more pounds.

Currently, or should I say when I'm trying to lose weight, I eat aprox 1300 cals a day. I know that I probably should be eating more protein as normally I would have a serving or chicken or fish with my evening meal and that would be the majority of my protein intake for the day. Once or twice a week I would have scrambled eggs for breakfast and the occasional handfull of nuts for a snack.

Do you think my protein intake (or lack thereof) would be contributing to my cravings?
I also eat a fair amount of fruit, would the amount of natural sugar in 4/5 pieces of fruit be contributing as well do you know?

bread is a deamon,... i never buy a pan anymore, only wholemeal brown bread toasted and with no butter is yumm, porridge for bfast and i dont have sugar/salt in my press for seasoning (its great when friends are over and they ask for sugar with tea or salt for chips, im like umm well i dont use it sorry lol),... i think its has a lot to do with what we purchase at till, i often have been in a shop with even just plain digestive biskits for a treat but just as a was at the till i turned around and put them back, i guess the way i look at it is if i dont buy it i cant eat it... i love boiled baby potatoes,.. beans and boiled eggs are good too & avail of the fruit offers when u can, i got bag of a apples, pack of oranges and punnet of pears all for 3e in tesco
