Weight training for a beginner

    Hi.

I've gotten to the stage where I'm fed up with having very little upper body strength. I've figured the only way to really sort that out is to start doing some weights. I'm a member of a gym, but it's just a huge building filled mostly with treadmills and zombies, so I'm hoping to find somewhere else.

I have no weights experience so I'd be looking for someone to take my hand and show me the ropes. Not looking for someone to do the workout for me, but to give me the necessary guidance.

Basically, I'm looking for suggestions on beginner friendly gyms, who will be able to guide me step-by-step!

    Thanks,
    Susieq
