Help with blood pressure

Hi all. Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I don't know where else suits.

I got a Blood pressure check from the Dr recently and it was high.
I'd rather not go on the medication for it so I'm wondering what can I do to reduce it?

I'm 6ft4 about 17/18St and my BP was 150/82. I have to go back for follow up but I'd rather just do what I can now.

I don't add salt to my food, I generally eat stir fry's with at least 5 Veg, 2 pieces of fruit a day. Not very much bread. Mostly white meats, dont smoke, dont drink very often.
However I don't exercise much either. I don't play sports and have no intrest in most of them either. I don't have a whole lot of free time and no money to buy equipment.
I am keeping an eye out for a cheap exercise bike so I can use that while I watch TV.

    Anyone got any advice/tips?

The more fitter you get the more your blood pressure should come down so maybe try get out and walk or run and you should notice the difference.

So theres nothing specific, just generally raise my fitness level?

If I go for a brisk walk down and back up hill, for about 30 - 45 mins, would twice a week be enough?

The first port of call, and mainly so everyones ass is covered, is, what did your doctor advise?

A return visit. They need 3 tests in a 3 week period and they have 2 as of now. I'm back in next week for the 3rd. I'll get the doctors advice then, but I'm guessing they'll say either excerise or the medication. Like I say I'd rather not take the medication.
