I saw that link on Twitter last night. Jersey is ok, but the shorts are pure class. More of this sort of thing.

I think the jersey and shorts are alright individually but they look rubbish together.

If only they were still riding Canyon for next year, I'd nearly buy this.;)

BTW anyone know which team if any rides Canyon next year?

Many years from now, cycling journalists will ask the former tour de foothills winner, velo.2010, what was the best bike he had ever ridden:

"Whichever one I've most recently paid to ride" would be the immortal answer.

    ;)

Have you not fecked off down under already? I bags your little black book of numbers for attractive, bored and wealthy middle-aged women in South County Dublin when you do leave.:D

Over 3 weeks so far! Not a little black book, more a large phallic shaped compendium.

Darn, never got to say goobye! :(Send us some photos Dirk. You can email me at velo.2010willmakeabreakthroughin2012@goodlookingnorthsider.com

Now back to jerseys. If Contador is cleared I may just have to go for that Saxo look.

^ That's quite nice. Bit of a retro-Bianchi feel to it.

Quickstep looks good alright, hope it doesn't clash with Leopard Trek kit, should be ok following the merge with Nissan Trek.

I'd quite like to buy An Post kit for myself but i've not done so because.... all the other mean cyclists might laugh at me. Roadies are a fickle & shallow bunch, but is there reasonable cause for my Fred-consciousness?

I've seen genuine An Post riders training on the roads around Dunboyne (Lavery and Cassidy both live around there somewhere I think). I'd feel a right spa bumping into them if I was in their team kit.

Lavery rolled up to the start of the Obelisk Christmas Race last Sunday in his An Post kit. I didn't know who he was so I said to the guy beside me that I hoped he had bought the kit rather than earned it. I was soon put right. Thankfully he went easy enough on us in the race itself.

Is that a second version of the new kit?

Yeah it went back for a re print -better sizing and quality, and some slight design changes. It's nice kit on I think, though I really like the old blue too.

    I like it too.

Do you mind me asking if there was any upset at having to get a second new kit in a year? Or did the sponsors subsidise the design change?

No idea to be honest. Nice to have it done though. And it does say Irish Road Club on the front breast - I had to check!

    /Mental Note:
When wearing An Post kit dont go anywhere near Dunboyne. Even if it was a team issue kit.

Jaysus they would have to scrape thru the bottom of the barrrel and into the sodden soil underneath.

So now that this sponsorship merger is official, are we supposed to call this team "OmegaPharmaQuickstep" or just "Quickstep"??? What are the commentators going to refer to them as?

This is confusing the hell out of me....

The team that is going to have far fewer podium places in 2012, as opposed to 2011.

Same as the amount of zeroes in the annual sponsorship cheque?

Quite like the (ellemen) OPQ kit, although that light blue/black combination is not exactly novel.

Saxo gear looks nice. I do get the impression though that somone threw a pair of blue socks and tops in with the white gear from last year and liked the resulting colour run!

Good to see Varmarc recycling Nico's early-2010 jersey, much prefer it to the crap one he had at Highroad.
