hi, for the past few weeks i have been constantly bloated even when i dont eat, its so bad that i actually look about 3/4 months pregnant! a friend suggested that i could have ovarian cysts but im not sure what these are or if they could be the cause of this. Iv tried not eating for hours and just drinking hot water with lemon to take away the bloatedness but its not going away. Its gotten to a point that i dont feel comfortable anymore, i work in a bar and feel like everyone is looking at me strange because of it, just wondering if anybody has experienced this before or has any idea of what it is?

Are you constantly bloated all the time or is that when you do bloat, it lasts for a day or two and then eventually goes back to normal?

I used to be almost permanently bloated until I took a food intolerance test that showed I was intolerant to gluten and milk. Once I cut them out I barely get bloated anymore, and when I do it's never as painful as it used to be.

Perhaps you could try eliminating different things like wheat/dairy/eggs from your diet one at a time to see if they make any difference?

Have you taken a pregnancy test? :pac:
Presuming you are a man, and the bloating is constant, not just after food, you should really get it checked out by a medical professional(advice for stuff like this isn't recommended on internet forums).

You can still continue your menstrual cycle throughout pregnancy. You need to take a day off work and go to the doc, my gp works till 8 on Tuesdays I'm sure there's a lot more that do as well.

You really need to go to a doctor. You should take a day off work, find a practice that opens in the evening or use Shannondoc. You might have an allergy, hormonal or digestive problem (or none of the above and something else).

I'd take a pregnancy test, you most likely aren't but its good to rule out options.

After that, you should go to the doctor.
It should be hard to find a doctor to see you before 10am, or after 6pm. Failing that, you have a lunch break I imagine.
