OK controversial statement, slightly OT too.

Barca play technically brilliant football but I dont think it's that attractive certainly better than most teams, but I find counter attacking football more attractive.
Barca passing the opposition out of the game can be pretty boring at times.....

I voted spurs by the way with City a very very close second.

People recognise good football when they see it. If we are going by this season Spurs and City should lead the poll.

Nothing controversial there, you are just not jumping on the Barca wagon!!!

Arsenal in the last 5 games have played the nicest football.
    Spurs second
    City third.
    Utd struggling!!!

Why the Academy of Football of course - The Real United, West Ham United.

And in Utd's defence, they know how to play to win titles on a consistent basis.
They could go out and entertain week in week out but that would mean conceding alot of goals.

    From that rubbish list, City.

I luv Barca when they don't have the ball.
Nobody works as hard as they do to win it back.

I like watching teams that can adapt their tactics to certain situations.
The Italians are very good at this.
The English teams tend to be predictable most of the time.

Its ability to bore is its attractiveness for me. The control of a game that other teams can only dream of.

Defo City but the general standard in the premiership is pretty poor tbh.

Give me Uniteds crap football any day of the week and the prem league at the end of season!

In terms of overall, Spurs obviously. Week in week out they play a very attractive brand of football, largely because they care little about defending which leads to incredibly exciting matches.

United for me, when they function at their peak, play my favorite brand of football. Pacey, Physical, Technical, Aggressive, with a directness which I think teams in the style of Barca and Arsenal lack. However, United havent played that way for about 8 games, so it's tough to say that they play it now.

The general point though is I prefer the way United or Madrid play to how Barca or Arsenal play. The former play a much much more direct game, less focused on possession, more focused on directness. I find, at times, Barca and Arsenal's style of play to be somewhat dull. Too much time spent passing around the back 6, rather than the risk of giving it to the front 6 and losing the ball more.

City and Spurs in the premiership, easily. I would much prefer the Real Madrid style to Barcelona too.

It appears clear then that the only two leagues in the world that don't play attrocious football are La Liga and the EPL.

The most watched I'd say. Sure give us a few examples of other teams from other lands! Turn a somewhat negative post into a glorious positive one!

    Bohs '09 I hear you say? :)

Fair enough it was a sarcastic post but I'm never overly pushed about who plays the best football ever ever. It's football not Top Trumps. Like Q magazine lists of the best guitar solos ever.

And I know, I should just ignore the thread. Fair enough. :)

I honestly wonder how much people watch Arsenal that they're still grouping us in with Barca. Arsenal's football wasn't particularly like Barca's last season and it's utterly nothing like Barca's now.

I think the amount of votes spurs have got here shows that the majority of football fans have the memory span of a goldfish, that and of course the old Sky Sports love in with Aarrry

Have you not seen Utd play this season? They are boring as hell so what are you talking about. Remembering the odd great display will never beat the consistent brilliance of a side like Barcelona who destroyed Utd in 2 CL finals over the past couple of years. Tell me who played the better football in those finals -Barca or Utd who resorted to hoof the ball like a non-league team against the skill and precision of Barca.

This question is so difficult to answer. No one watches all the games so its difficult to decide. Its always going to be skewed towards the top 7. Last season Blackpool were fun to watch.

What do you mean? Are you implying they dont play nice football?, because any football fan will tell you Spurs play a very attractive and entertaining brand.

As a neutral and going on the teams mentioned there, Man City. They have the same unpredictability, defence fraility and brilliance in attack that Keegan's Newcastle had.

Has to be City this season, especially when you compare it with the dire defensive displays they put on last season.

Dortmund last season certainly were up there, though they slowed down a bit after Christmas. Hopefully they'll keep recovering from the bad start this season in the same vein.

Attractive football wise, if this was based entirely on last season I'd have said Villarreal, Dortmund and Porto by quite some distance.. IMO of course. Barca and their tiki taka footy when they step it up a gear can make for great viewing but for the most part can also make for utterly tedious viewing likewise when watching Spain.

This season so far.. Man City all the way for me.

That win against Bayern at the weekend will surely help them. Excellent defensive display. Nice to see another side to their game as they've been very open as of late domestically and in the Champions League.

city play attractive football, spurs rely on getting the ball forward quicker than city do which might be slightly more effective rather than attractive.
