I find it silly to expect presents when you're over like 17/18/20. It's only normal because that's what it's become about, because of commercialism.

I can't agree with you on this, Christmas is one of those times you show your appreciation to those you love with presents.
I would be very disappointed if I did not get a present.

But it's because you've chosen to put that meaning to it.

Would you think your husband doesn't love you if he didn't buy you something?

I still wake up every christmas expecting to find a Mr Frosty under the tree

we will not see this the same way because you are negative to the idea and that's fine.
No of course I would not think he didn't love me but he buys me a present to show me how much he does loves me.

Xbox k'nect, timberland coat, iPhone 4S and MacBook pro. They're all early presents except the k'nect, so looking forward to getting that :)

I'm not negative to the idea. The idea of getting something for someone you care about is great,i just don't agree with being told when to do it.surely it'd mean more for someone to get something for you because they happened to think of something you'd like or happen to see it and think of you, rather than buying something because they've had to spend a few weeks thinking of what to get because that's what you're meant to do by some made up commercial event. I just prefer there to be a bit more thought put into my presents.

Tbh this post makes no sense to me,
you get a christmas present at christmas, my husband does not rush into the shops Christmas eve buying me something stupid.
Do you not get birthday presents on your birthday?

I usually buy myself something big every Xmass. Don't really expect presents at this age but someone always throws a selection box or shower gel box so its all cool.

So what are ye AH'ers looking to get your hands on this xmas?

    Uncharted 3
    CD's:
    - Marillion "Holidays in Eden"
    - Type O Negative "Slow, Deep and Hard"
    - Vangelis (any of them would do actually)
    - William Orbit "Strange Cargo" I and II
    - some more CDs... (Sepultura, Paradise Lost, Iron Maiden, etc)

That'd be all. I have everything, I don't need anything else.

A sock. I would ask for a pair, but I think that would be unpatriotic during these tough economic times.

    And a bionic leg.

    Thanks!
