Its great for league racing but not for pick up races.
racedepartment.com have some leagues for all levels and also racing clubs with passworded servers for some fun relaxed clean racing.

Don't want to drag this OT but what sims are good for multiplayer right now ? Not hardcore, more semi-casual.

Sweet mother of God i havent had so much fun in simracing or indeed gaming in a hell of a long time.
Im not exaggerating guys, these things are an absolute blast to drive,i guarantee a grin from ear to ear racing these things.
I really cannot recommend GSCE enough, it is up there with assetto corsa, iracing and RF2 in terms of physics but with a mountain of content and mods.
The best representation of karting ive ever played.

Yeah read this late lastnight, great news, cant wait.
I gladly donated to the crowdfunding a few months back when first announced and got into the beta builds for the Super V8`s etc now that the V8`s are fully released I'm having a lot of fun with them.
Fantastic sim, probably my favourite in terms of physics and force feedback.
Massive amount of free content already and now a new sim, reiza really are one of the best devs out there, they really look after their fanbase.

As its free to all current SCE owners , non owners can buy SCE from steam before Jan 5th, activate it and they will automatically get AUTOMOBILISTA.
Its also reduced to €20.99 in the current steam sale.
Great bargain considering what you get even with SCE alone.
