    Live on ESPN, kick off 17.30.

    Team News;

    Swansea midfielder Stephen Dobbie is set to return from the ankle injury he suffered against Norwich last month.

    Neil Taylor is also available after a similar problem but fellow defender Steven Caulker is still sidelined with a knee complaint.

    Manchester United winger Ashley Young will return from a toe injury, but Danny Welbeck has not recovered from a muscle strain.

    Chris Smalling is unlikely to be risked after a foot injury.

    United team prediction;

    De Gea, Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Jones, Young, Giggs, Fletcher, Park, Rooney, Hernandez

    Banana skin here. Swansea play good stuff at home. Really need the three points with City strolling vs Newcastle.

    Any truth in the rumours Morrison might be on the bench I wonder?

    Probably beside Carrick rather than Fletcher as he had a break over the internationals.

    Hopefully, they're an excellent pairing IMO.

    Though if its Nurse he'll probably have Giggs beside Sneijder in teh middle of the park.:pac:

    Strong side. Hopefully we can get a settled back four in place now for a few weeks. I'd play that foursome when fit now for the foreseeable future.

    happy enough with that team, except for park. pretty much as i expected, though i though young would start.

    back to giggs and carrick which i am happy with, its our best non cleverly combination IMO.

    will be tough game.

    Carrick and Giggs back in midfield, should be interesting.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,235 ✭✭✭✭flahavaj

    First time in his career Giggs starts a PL game in his home country.

    /useless but interesting stat.

    Backed 4-0 United @ 30/1 for giggles. Recent performances have been woeful, but for some reason I think United will put an overachieving Swansea to the sword.

    Nice balanced looking team, very happy to see Vidic in defence. 2-1 rooney and chico.

    Almost two sentences before they mentioned Swansea nearly getting relegated from the football league I'm impressed!

    Vidic and Rio switched around At the back again .

    Totally useless fact for yous. Vorm was on the bench in the world cup final .

    That is why Hernandez should start ahead of Wellbeck - the guy is just a natural striker.

    Boom.

    Great work from giggs there and as you would expect from hernandez tidy finish.

    I went onto Paddy power to do him first goal then seen Rooney 9/2 so went with that :(

    Swansea are a lovely team to watch, they play fantastic football. But Jesus, they lose possession an awful lot.

    They were both at that price and I initially went for Rooney too but the market was suspended so when it came back up I noticed Rooney was playing further back so backed Chico instead

    sinclair just isn't good enough this is too much of a step up for him same as Taarabt in my opinion he's done that too many times this season already.

    Are you watching ESPN? You know I was just about post about this very thing. He's the guy who does MOTD sometimes, what's his name? Could never find out. So boring. It's like he's always in "MOTD everyone knows the score already" mode

    It's not that he doesn't have a good voice for commentary it's just the stagnant pauses, ffs

    Now Hernandez (I think) gets fouled on the edge of the box, Rooney throws his hands up and roars! And the commentator goes "...free kick..." in a tone that you'd expect from a commentator at a crufts dog show
