Pots and Pans offer at Tesco

Tesco are running a promotion offering a big discount on some pretty good looking pots and pans. They seem to be a good quality, and some have glass lids with an in-built strainer. Whats really nice about them is that they can be used on ordinary cookers but also on induction hobs.

For every €20 you spend, you get a Coupon; collect 10 coupons, and get 70% off one of the range of pans.

The RRP is around €70 each pan, so you're saving nearly €50 each.

    Pans are 'Thomas' by 'Rosenthal'

Offer running for about 12 weeks I think.

If you are shopping at Tesco and need new pots and pans, or are looking to give them to someone, they're well worth it.

So to save €50 off one saucepan, you've got to spend €200 in Tesco? If you want a second saucepan, you've got to collect another 10 tokens, so spend another €200?

Thats a great deal, I shop in Tesco all the time, so could easily clock up 200euro in a couple of weeks, and im in the market for new pots and pans, 2 years using the same pan everyday thats a serious beating. perfect! thanks!

That's not the correct way to look at it.
It's geared towards someone who regularly shop at Tesco.
    I think it's a great deal.
    Thanks OP!

Gipi, lots of people spend €200 or more in Tesco on a regular basis, so if you're spending the money there anyway, at least you are getting something decent in return (as well as Clubcard points) (and no, I don't work for Tesco :))

yeah I clock up 50yoyo's nearly every saturday in Tesco Jervis, no matter how big my shopping list is, the damage always nearly comes to 50bits. seriously im a sucker for impulse special offers, BTW Tesco Finest Vanilla Yoghurts is one of the greatest flavours in the world, I want to know what the secret is, try one, you will have a yogurtgasm at the breakfast in front of the kids! special offer at the mo 4 for 3euro (I think, i dont really pay attention, just gimme the yogurts!!!)

I had a look at the pots on offer and did a google on the brand - only place that I could come across that sells them is tesco - bit suspect that. Anyone seen these pots anywhere else or can vouch for the price tesco quote as the RRP? In fairness Tesco have done some really good deals in the past - "sarah's garden" by wedgewood offer a good few years ago was great and it was easy to compare the price in other shops - not so with this one. TIP: If you're not keen on spending in tesco to get the vouchers then check out ebay - seems like you can get enough vouchers to buy a pot for a couple of quid. If they really are that good a deal then this might be the path to take to get loads of them - alternatively a dozen slabs of guinness/coors/other that are currently on offer ("I only bought them for the pans ...")

http://www.rosenthal.de/thomas/kitchen-en/genioinovan-en/ think that's the right range. Look at the price tesco don't seem to be bs'ing

Thank you! Definitely seem to be worth a look then.

i was actually having a second thought about this range but when i saw them on the shop they're actually good quality. i bought the grill pan and even comparing on tesco own brand they're cheaper. correct me if im wrong but i think thy're stainless steel with aluminum at the bottom for even heat distribution. for the big size pans and pots that you dont usually get if you buy a set their worth it if youre a regular tesco shopper imho.

here's the tesco link if you want an idea what sizes are available and the price

Yeah I shop in tesco every week, but I cant understand how you are getting a bargain.Say for the smallest item which costs 11.99 along with the 10 tokens, you have to spend 211 euro.99.How is that a 70% saving?.Its just on the original price. They should be free with the tokens.Although I do agree they do look good from looking at them in the shop.I have 11 tokens already:p,

I'm living in England and the offer has just ended here,

I can vouch that the pots are a decent standard, I only got two, but I am very happy with them and the quality.

aren't you spending the 211 euro anyway at the moment and getting nothing for it?

Can't please some people! The wok is a significant step up from it's ikea predecessor!

I have to agree. The wok is great as it comes with a lid. The grill pan is also great for steaks and doing grilled veg when you want the grill mark. I am delighted with them and have found that staff tend to give you extra vouchers and not just what you're entitled to.

yes, some do and others are strict like the lady who gave me only one voucher for a spend of 39.67! Others have to be reminded about them too!

I found a trick was to get them at the Till, and then go to customer service and pretend you didn't get any, obviously don't make too much of a habit of it, just the big shop :)

Yeah bu,no bu, yeah bu, no bu:p, its misleading to say you are getting a saving though.

You are so right. How misleading to say you are getting €200 of shopping and a €70 pot for €211.

Can you not take the pot and get your shopping for €11 :D

No its 70% off, not 70 quid.
I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or not? At that rate it would be cheaper to get it at the original price;).I will be availing of the offer, but Its only an observation of mine.

P.S Shure we I love to have a good aul moan!:)

Anyone know if they can be put in the dishwasher and is it a 2 year guarantee that comes with them?

I bought Prestige saucepans back in the 80's that came with a lifetime guarantee and they're still as good as new but I chose the wooden handled ones so cannot put them in the dishwasher.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11 maryh1

seems like a good offer especially if you're going to be buying in tesco each week regardless of this

Spent just over €59 in the Jervis Tesco yesterday and the tight bastard on the till only gave me two vouchers - argh! :) That said, the last time I was there I spent a bit over €30 and got three so am still up I guess; five vouchers down, five more to go in December hopefully.

I got the frying pan last week, it seems to be really good quality, I am very happy with it I have to say. The only problem is the handle gets quiet warm when cooking.
