The ratings are gone so bad RTE have even started advertising the guesta that'll be on, on a Thursday ! That's how bad !

Maybe its time to change format, stop letting people (mostly has beens or wanna be's) come on to promote their new cd/video/dvd/film blah blah blah blah, the same aul sh1te every week.

AAAAAND the house band are durt !

The rest of the band are good.. but, I tell ya .. somebody in RTE likes Clint Velour (i.e. Paddy Cullivan).. Gets his band on the LLS, contributes to the nonsense on unFunny Friday... I even heard him on reviewing books with Tubridy one morning.. He'll still be there in a hundred years...

I'm out tonight btw, but I'll be front row centre for Twink tomorrow night :pac:

    Have a good night, Jon.

By the way, Paddy Cullivan's (woeful) song 'We are where we are' was co-written by a Mr. R. Tubridy.

Maybe you should do some jamming with Tubs, It might get you into the RTE fold.

A Tubs/JonathanAnon collaboration - it has Christmas Number One written all over it!! :):):)

Being checking in the last few weeks to see if there's anything of interest.

and so far nope. this wk included. Thankfully tg4 are back with the westerns, and even though its old and a 'comedy' western , with Maureen O Hara, i'm gonna watch it.

    yup.

that's how bad the LLS has become

Is that the one with John Wayne in it? Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne were close friends in real life and they had a great chemistry when they appeared on screen together.

Now kindly set your recorders for TG4, and then settle in a for evening with Mr.Tubridy and guests. Thank you :)

Skid - I believe you want to know what is on TG4 tonight ;) Well, at 9:05pm McLintock is on, a western starring John Wayne and our very own Maureen O'Hara :D

Apparently Brendan Grace will be joined by 'a host of friends, including Dickie Rock, Red Hurley, Jimmy Magee and Sil Fox' on tonight show

Bit too much like Liveline's (un)Funny Friday for my liking.

They kept that quiet - They have Michael Buble on the show and it is also a Brendan Grace special? Very odd.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭Skid

To anyone who is having a little drink tonight - Cheers!!!

I will be having a drinking game tonight.
    Finish my drink everytime

    - Michael Buble goes into the audience
    - Tubs asks Buble if he likes Dublin/Ireland
    - Rob Brydon does a Terry Wogan impression
    - or a Tom Jones impression
    - If Father Ted is mentioned during Brendan Grace's bit
    - If Tubs asks Jimmy Magee about Euro 2012

And if Tubs is any good tonight (unlikely, admittedly), I'm going to go to Coppers after the show :)
