I added up my food for yesterday, which wasn't the best of days I've been lazy on the whole preparing veg thing and got more fat than I would normally, I normally eat a good bit of fat, I really can't survive on low fat. Everything I did eat was fairly good(worst thing was potato gratin I made, cheeses and cream prob put up the fat intake), just really should've eating green veg.

Here's what I ate for the day

    Cals 1,577
    Fat 97.7
    Carbs 87.5
    Protein 109.5
    (or so according to fitday)

That works out as (Kcals from) fat-53% carbs-20% protein-27%
Fat % is way higher than what I would normally have.

Stats are 69kg 31.5%bf. I worked out my cal needs for the day if I just sit on my ass/not move much it's 2115cals (maintenance) I think it's about 2040cals with excerise and for weightloss*. Now I look at mine and it's just 1577cals, doesn't seem enough:(

As well as that the protein I'm not sure if that's enough or not, I've a feeling it's a bit short.

I'm thinking now that I should have eating more protein that day upped my cals closer to 2000cals (and wasn't lazy with preparing the veg). The main thing is I wasn't that hungry, I actually thought I would be over 2000cals I don't know if I could have fit much more food in there(although it didn't help that I woke up late so didn't get breakfast till about lunch:o)

Generally, for someone who is trying to lose weight, I'd suggest about 13.5 calories per pound of lean mass (total weight minus bodyfat). One gram of protein per pound of lean mass, and divide the rest of your calories between fat and carbs as suits you.

Fat is satietying, so if you have a high fat meal, you won't be hungry for a long time afterwards.
