Hi, I'm not sure if this is exactly the right forum so mods please feel free to move to the appropriate.

I'm running Win XP on a laptop that uses free Avast for Anti-Virus and free Zonealarm firewall. All has been running pretty smoothly for quite some time.

However, I updated the free Zonealarm firewall the other day and when I boot up the laptop it doesn't appear in the system tray. Also, it does not open when you try it from Start --> Programs etc.

Could anyone shed some light on this, or has anyone else experienced this?

I also updated the Free Zonealarm Firewall on a laptop running Win 7 (and free Avast anti-virus). Zonealarm does appear in the system tray, thus allowing you to configure the Firewall settings etc. The problem of not being able to open it from Start --> Programs etc also happens on Win 7...
