This was on RTE 2 last night so hopefully will be available on rteplayer soon.

Good to see it on TV!

Was great to see on a national channel. Seen this lad Eoin Graham in the juniors earlier in the year. Remember him doing a 300kg Hummer tyre deadlift for reps event. Only for the timer went off he'd still be repping now ! One to watch in the future.

They're airing the WSM around Christmas. Looking forward to seeing him on that.

Their set up in that gym looks class. Is it just some garage they've converted?

Hoping to catch it on rte player at some time in the 'near' future!

Graham is definitely one seriously strong dude - be great if Ireland can get a few lads into the Giants Live Series and even the WSM!:)

Was dissapointed they didn't air the deadlift event (if there was one other than the grip one they showed) just to see Grahamer wipe the floor with everyone else.

No one cares about lb for lb in strongman. Besides, strength and weight gain don't show a linear relationship so it's all speculation at best.

What about your assertation that "mass moves mass"?

Yup... but it's not linear. An extra 10kg of bodyweight won't always move an extra 10kg of bar weight. And it's lift specific, and the stronger you get, the less every kg of body weight added will translate into external load moved! :)

That's why you always see lighter guys with higher multiples of bodyweight lifted when you look at it on purely bodyweight terms. They use forumlas in PL and OL to account for it when deciding on who the true lb for lb strongest is, but they're based on historical results as far as I know, so an outlier in any one division for a long period of time can skew it for everyone.

It's not an exact science at all.
