Bearing in mind the news that Blockbusters is to return, what beloved old gameshows would you like to resurrect?

For me, it would have to be Play Your Cards Right and Bullseye.

You Bet. I thought it was good fun. Good nutjobs on telly too at peak viewing times.

And they were actually doing something rather than sitting around in a house for 24 hours acting like spanners.

And Interbang. (The kids running around following clues finding statues of the leaning tower of Pisa with an interrobang on the bottom [was a question and exclamation mark in one]).

I just loved the era when people won sh!tty prizes like glass decanters and knife sets and were still delighted.

The Price Is Right was great when Leslie Crowther presented it, but Joe Pasquale ruined it :(

Some of the prizes on Bullseye were classic.
Most of the stuff looked like it was found in a charity shop.

    Crystal maze...lmao.

what were they doing .... you're middle aged FFS, you're wearing a jumpsuit, running around a cheap studio and choosing to play a skill challenge or adventure challenge from a creepy looking paedo type who's acting like he's creepy - and not realizing that he actually IS.

    such sht.
cant believe i used to like it.

I saw a couple of episodes where people could win a speedboat, a Morris Minor or a Caravan. They were class prizes to working class folk.

Yeah occasionally they had something great as the top prize, but most of the other prizes were alarm clock-radios or ironing board covers.

Or if you were really lucky and hit number 4 on the board, you might get a Teasmaid.

They should do an outdoor, summer special. Make it water-based and incorporate a swimming pool into the set.
