Repeat Visit to the doctor

    Hi,

Hope someone can advise me with this.

On Monday I went to see my local GP as I had a cold after after this my nasal passage was very sore to touch and I thought I had a nasal infection.

There was a sore around my nose that was leaking pus.

When I seen the doctor and he had a look he ruled out an infection and said it was just the after effects of the cold I had, he also said the sore around my nose was just dried skin.

He prescribed me a product call NeilMed which I have been using since Monday, this product is used to clear out the nasal passage.

Now since Monday it has got worse and today Thursday 3 days later I have broken out in a rash under my chin. I have searched the web to see if I can see what it could be and it does look like infatigo.

Now I am going to make another appointment to see him and was just wondering as it was only Monday that I seen him and had to fork out €60 Doctors fee and another €15 on the product he prescribed, should I have to pay the doctor another €60 to see him for the same problem he misdiagnosed on the Monday or should it be free to see him as its the same issue.

Do not want to have to pay the fee again as times are tough and €60 is a lot when there are little mouths to feed.

    Thanks,
    Rob

I think you should take this up with the doctor in question.
Maybe ring them ahead and have a chat.

Infantigo or impetigo can get pretty serious. But its not realted to the cold/sore nose afaik.
Prob just your immune system was low at the time.
Talk to him, try get a reduction, but $60 is nothing to pay if it avoids scars for life.

AFAIK if you go back to the same doctor with the same complaint you don't pay the fee. That's how it works with the surgery I go to anyway. I don't know if that is just their policy. I have had impatego in the past. You will pretty quickly want to go back regardless of the cost.
