Ah cheers, I basically copied it from PP so that's why it was missing.

They're unsure as to whether Kolb will be fit so they aren't doing a line up until it's announced whether he's out or not. He's looking likely to be out so the Eagles will probably win at a canter.

Probably the Colts only chance at that elusive win this year.

I like the Texans +3 over the Bucs.
Bucs were a surprise last year but I'm not seeing much from them this year, plus Wade Philips has done a superb job with the Houston D

I'd agree with that but not backing against/for the Bucs anymore this year - got absolutely stung both times. First they give up over 100 yards in penalties vs. the Colts and then when I go against them, Drew Brees turns into an INT machine and loses the game. Think it's Gods way of saying don't bet against those Glazers.

Like the Pats +2 against the Jets aswell, Brady and BB won't like losing again.

Also think Steelers -3 is decent value over the Bengals. Major game for the Steelers in their division and Cinci have beaten some terrible teams to get to the top of the division - Seattle, Colts, Jacksonville, Browns namely. Not taking away what they've achieved but I think the Steelers are a cut above them.

Really looking forward to Thursday nights game as I'm off Friday so can grab a few cans and stay up for it.

I predicted the Jets and Giants (on the spread) to win last week so this weekends bet for me is Patriots, Lions and Saints all to win. Treble pays 9.5/1.

Lions @ Bears : Cutler stepping into the right gears at the right time, big div game, will be really tight but Ild stick with a home W for this one.
But then again I'ld be likely to loose some money on an OT win for either team.

I'm a Buccs fan, and I sadly think there's value in that. We still struggle hugely to stop the run (currently ranked 26th), and we just lost Gerald McCoy for the season to IR. We're up against an elite rushing attack, and two guys who are absolutely bang in form in Arian Foster and Ben Tate.

The Buccs inconsistencies are largely due to Josh Freeman's inconsistencies, and the Texans D is looking the best it ever has.

A couple of huge games this weekend that will tell us everything about how a playoff picture could pan out:

Lions-Bears and Bengals-Steelers are the biggest two that spring to mind.

I've been impressed with the Bengals, I think they drafted nicely and Marvin Lewis is doing a great job, but the best team they've beaten is Buffalo, and the other teams they've beaten have been poor. Also, if the Steelers 'backers are good to go, Andy Dalton won't have faced this sort of pass rush yet this season. Harrison was red hot last week in their losing effort, and will be riled by the atmosphere of this one too I think. Bengals D is good, but haven't yet faced a side either with the ability to stretch the field that Wallace & Brown give the Steelers. I like the Steelers in this one big time.

Other one much harder to call.

Another game that will tell us plenty too is 49ers-Giants. Massive test for Alex Smith against the best D he's faced this season, and if Eli keeps playing like he is, then I'd take the Giants. Home advantage is surely worth about 6 points to the niners though.

    Sky Sports I think?

    yup

Thu 10 Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers Sky Sports 1 1.00am (Fri)

    Sun 13 Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati Sky Sports HD2 6.00pm

Sun 13 New York Giants @ San Francisco Sky Sports HD2 9.30pm

If the 49ers have to chase this game in the second half. Id think Giants will expose Smith and he'll throw pick's. Gore has run 159 times this season while smith has thrown 206 times. So if the 49ers need to chase two scores or deep in the 4th quarter i just don't see Smith being able to produce a pass heavy game.

Im tempting to bet the giants and the lions to win on Sunday.

You learn something new every day, no pass interference on the wide receiver in a punt formation. If there was PI that was a guaranteed first and goal at the 1, a referee was about to throw the flag.

Hah did you hear the commentator when that happened, "Quentin Jammer knows all those rules. 'Blow me.'" I thought I was hearing things at first but it's coming up on twitter.

I didn't hear the blow me bit, that's funny, was it Mayock or the other guy?

As someone who knows sweet FA about American Football I've really enjoyed the last two touchdowns.

Again, no clue what I'm on about beyond knowing the rules but there seems to be a lot of those short passes over some blockers tonight. If the defence figures out how to defen it it'll be interesting. :pac:

Jesus, some amount of space long in these last coupla plays.

Said all along the Raiders would win this, San Diego are criminally overrated. Glad to see i'm right. This is Oakland's division this year by the looks

Makes our win over them look better too so i'm happy

Time for Tebow to tominate the TFC West?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,299 ✭✭✭spiralism

If we beat Kansas this weekend, who knows :D

Seriously though, this is about as bad as i've ever seen the AFC West, including 08. Funny thing is I could see the eventual division winner doing a Seattle on it and upsetting someone like the Pats or Steelers in the playoffs lol

    Regarding San Diego:
If SD play like that against the run when we play them in our current vein of rushing form, we'll top 400 yards on the ground.

Norv Turner is an idiot. Seriously, Mathews, Hester and Tolbert and you dont even TRY to run on a Defence that gave up 300 on the ground 4 days previously to a QB and a 30 year old? 13 runs, 47 passes with Rivers in this form? Jackass.

Norv Turner is seriously getting fired at season's end at best. Too much underachievement for too long now, dropping 4 straight games with the talent on that roster is hardly acceptable... please keep him AJ ! :pac:

Ha! Had never seen that before. Dangerous territory from the commentator!

He wouldn't have said that if it was, say Danny Woodhead, Peyton Hillis or Toby Gerhart making that break!

I'd say Johnson would say it for those players (if they had that pace) and no one wold think he was in dangerous territory either...

Huge win on sunday and gives up a great chance at the division now. Chiefs and Broncos have little chance so it's down between us and Sad Diego. Week 17 them coming to us could be huge, hopefully we will have it wrapped up by then though.

Hey now, if we win tomorrow (big if mind), we've every bit the same chance as SD and KC at 4-5

This is Oaklands to lose now, been saying it the last while

You guys have a tough schedule though. After chiefs it's Jets, @chargers, @vikings, Bear, Pats, @bills. We've vikings, Bears, @dolphins, @packers, Lions, @chiefs, Chargers. Hard to see where you guys can pull out an extra win over us.

you left out chiefs at home last game, maybe that? although this discussion is moot if we lose today

Forgot to write down the Chiefs but don't think it will give you an extra win. Realistically 3 wins is most likely for you guys, chiefsx2 and vikings. We should beat vikings, Phins and chiefs. I like our chances at home to the bears, Lions and chargers while I don't see any favourable matches for you guys expect the bears and @chargers.

Chiefs x2 and Vikings i like us in whereas Bears (the whole cutler thing), @ SD and @ Buf i'd give us a fighting chance. Hell, if we win tonight (again, big if...), I wouldn't rule out the Jets at home on a short week, we nearly beat them last year when we sucked ass and they will have given everything for their biggest game of the year against the Pats tonight

First play from scrimmage, Jacoby Jones catches an 80 yard TD pass, with the XP blocked.

The Colts first play from scrimmage? An interception of course :pac:

The Jaguars first play from the resulting interception? An interception of their own. This game is the ultimate Jimmy vs Timmy encounter.

As bad as the Vikings have been (or their record suggests), ill be extremely disappointed if the Broncos beat us in the Metrodome. Remember that despite one blowout, no team has beaten us by more than a TD. That includes some decent sides like SD, Detroit, Tampa (robbery) and GB. And since we've switched to a competent QB we've come as close as any side to beating GB and beat Newtons Panthers in Carolina. I'd expect the Vikes to be at least 4/5 points favourites for that game against the Broncos

Can't believe Pittsburgh were only -3 today. Fully expect them to put Cincinatti back in their place.

Go on Reggie Bush, great to see him become an every down RB. Hopefully an elite QB joins him next year. They're out of reach of Luck so they may as well pick up another win.

    Reggie Bush getting **** done.

Great little run by Tebow, TD Broncos! ;)

Agree with matthew, would love to see Reggie Bush become the RB he was destined to be. As a USC fan, it would also be great to see a Bush - Barkley connection behind the O-line in Miami next year. Would love that.

Tebow runs in a TD, we're up 7-0 in Arrowhead early

So the rumours were correct, Josh Cribbs gets a run. He's another talented player who I feel has underachieved a little bit. Such a big strong fast player should be elite.

Cowboys seem in the right mood for this game against the Bills, 7-0 up already and the defence kept the Bills offence under wraps easily.

    This makes me happy :D
