Vitamin Supplements

I'm taking a supplement of Folic Acid (400mg) daily and I'm unsure as to whether I can take a Multivitamin supplement as well or Vit B Complex, I don't think you are supposed to exceed 400mg of Folic Acid a day (as there is Folic Acid in food too). Anybody know?

What vitamins are good for low mood?

Fish oil for low mood, particularly one with a high concentration of EPA. 1000mg of EPA is considered a theraputic dose, 400mg of EPA is maintenance. That's a lot of fish oil, consider a couple of spoonsfuls of liquid rather than lots of capules.

No real upper limit to folic acid. It occurs naturally in green veg, and we are supposed to stuff those into us.

Are you trying to get pregnant?

I've recently come off the pill and the doc told me to get straight onto Folic Acid. I'm not planning a pregnancy but it it were to happen naturally then so be it. I was just wondering whether I could take a multivitamin as well as Folic Acid but I have a very good diet so there's not really the need to take any more supplements when I think about it. I do have Omega 3 Fish Oil Glucosamine & Chondroitin supplements which are good for healthy joints and I only eat fish once a week so they should work for low mood (I don't need a high dosage). I appreciate the advice, thank you.
