How many hours a week do you play video games

On average how many hours a week do you play video games, im finding games like dark souls can take over you life

Well I'm 15, at Junior Cert year.. I play about..6-8 hours a day (weekdays) 12-15 (weekends) tad bit of an addiction problem there..

My weekly intake is going to take a bit of a hike come friday. Last few months I'd say I'm on average 20-22 hours a week.

Do you go outside or do anything else on those days?


I usually play about 2 or 3 hours a day, and maybe 4 or 5 on a friday night or sunday. Some weeks though I wont play the xbox at all, and some weeks I could play it from like 7pm until midnight!

I play the same 2 games the whole time though, fifa and gears.

nono, 15 Years of Age.. I do indeed, not for long though, never used to be that bad but with FIFA 12 it's gone up hugely! And now with MW3 .. I will have no life

Me personally it's usually 6 hours a day on weekends, if I've no college work due (3rd year). As long as other stuff doesn't suffer I don't see a magical 'too much' time on games, they're no different from spending hours on facebook or sitting in front of a tv, in fact they're probably more productive in that I can chat/laugh and play with rl and online friends.

Can be up to 30 hours incl weekend. I've played more on weeks off.
I tend to do maybe 2-3 hours a night with my mates,

Well if I spent 15 hours of my day playing xbox, I could get away with only about 4 or 5 hours of sleep id say. Sure what energy do you use up if your sitting down for that length.

Including playing portables when out and about? 4ish hours on a good day,
or if I'm into an RPG or the like, can go up to 6 on weekend, more if I'm not
doing anything for it. I generally split it up into 2 hour spurts, as any longer
static and I feel like a bit of an oxygen thief.

Don't know, I know it's a fair bit considering I like playing new and old stuff all the time. Difference being I wouldn't be playing games for a long stretch of time.

Except L4D2, I'd probably clock around 2 hours on that on a good night.

I am not even awake for 15 hours in a day! :P

That's 9 hours to eat,sleep,socialise and exercise on top of setting good habits in relation to studying. And it's not the healthiest lifestyle either!

I only play games for the story modes and I just dont have it in me to start a new game with extras or whatever or get all the bonuses I dont care for that stuff at all.

Story Modes they only take up roughly around 10-14 hours altogether nowadays
once thats done there wouldt be another game for me then till the next big release

Once I buy the game probly about 4-5 hours a day till i finish it would be my limit

I dont play half as much as I used to now I'm in 4th year at college, probably a combined 5 hours through the week and maybe another 4 hours over the weekend, double that during holidays

thats not how your post reads at all, it says 12-15 hrs a day on weekends.

anyhoo, depends on the game tbh, if its arsing around on COD then 1-2 hrs a night, put about 4 hours a night into uncharted and arkham, depends on times Im working or what I've got on that week tbh.

Even 6-8 hours seems excessive to me.

Usually two-three hours a day. A bit more this week as I was trying to clear Dark Souls and Uncharted. Would have to be a really dull day for me to play more than four. There are always books, interwebs and films to fill one's free time with even on the wettest of days.

Depends on what I'm playing. Could go a few weeks not playing anything, and then when something like Skyrim comes out, I'll probably be putting in 30ish hours on the Friday,Saturday and Sunday. Keep going at about 5 hours a day for the next week, and probably will only play about 5 hours a week between then and Christmas.

Last week,I put in a few hours with BF3, but didn't play anything for a month before that

Maybe 1 hour a day playstation during the week and 2-3 hours on the weekends (depending). I guess another 2-3 hours a week handheld gaming (recently I quit playing iphone games and perfer to carry my DS around with me.) It used to be more, but I work about 50-60 hour weeks so not got much time anymore.

I personally can't know for sure how much I spent actuolly playing. I do all my gaming on pc. I can play for hour or 2 something then drop of to troll boards.ie, then do something outside pc. Read up something on Internet. Watch a show or two etc...

I prefer a good night by pc with lads online. We might not even play but have a great messing around on vent.

I don't like pubs etc.

I do have full time job, misses for last 8 years. Friends online and offline. I do go for a good house party now and then, but I still prefer my gaming/pc time to ****y tv stuff.

I've played 23 hours of Battlefield in the last week but I was off school so its all good. Usually 2 or 3 hours during the week and around 5-6 at weekends.

I don't have a set time; it depends what I'm playing. Like last week I'm sure I put in 20 hours into Batman : Arkham Asylum but I haven't played anything since. I might dip into Other M or DKCReturns; otherwise i'll just hang on until Skyward Sword.

When I do i usually do 1-2 sessions per day (time permitting) until I've sorted the single player campaign.

It really depends for me, sometimes I might go a week only playing 2-3 hours that whole week. Some weeks I might put in 10 hours. Depends on what Im doing around the time. With Skyrim comming out and a few days Holidays booked off though ill probably put in a good amount of hours this week!

If I can squeeze in 3-4 hours a week, I'm doing well. I'll try to make an exception for a new game though e.g. played gears 3 for 3-4 hours on the day of release

A lot. Probably about 4 to 6 on a weekday and about 2 a day at the weekend. I work weekends so i don't get much of a chance to, especially seeing as i'll probably be out at night, but during the week after college i'll sink a good bit of time into gaming. It's hard to measure though, for example i'll hop on tf2 for a while then browse the internet, eat, watch youtube videos, then play minecraft for a while, chill out for a bit, sink a few hours into wow etc. It varies day to day.
