You know what I mean, Sonic was developed in the context of Sega needing their own mascot to compete with Mario, it was a rip off of sorts. Everyone feels this inside.

Sega is just a Nintendo rip off with blue branding.

Nintendo is just a rip off of Atari but based in Japan.

Atari is just a rip off of the arcade experience.

You do that for anything. Most things are a derivative of something else.

So Sonic and Mario are both side scrolling platformers. Woop de doo. They're about as much alike as Sim City 2000 and Command and Conquer.

You claimed, once again that a particular game was one of the most awesome games ever, grand.
I/We countered that argument.
You engaged with a couple of games that were the only games worth playing.
We countered that you are mistaken and described how so.
You then countered this by cleverly saying something completely futile and without any foundation in any facts or reviews anywhere.

And now you are asking the mods of the forum not to close the thread, and I am one of those mods.




Sorry, but this is getting out of hand again.
After the Doom episode I should have known better but just jumped in again and engaged with this poster.
So, I think it would be best to close this thread with a proviso that any such threads setup in the same way will be just closed again.
It's all getting far too silly and demeans the whole A&R forum.
