I'm startin a bulk on Monday.
    I'm 19, 6 foot tall and weigh 78kg.
I'm just wondering if a clean bulk will benefit me much more than a dirty bulk. When I mean dirty bulk I mean the odd pizza and tub of Ben and Jerrys not eating crap all the time. If I have the odd pizza I get alot of calories in and also get to indulge. I don't mind putting on fat as long as there is muscle gains aswell. Also I plan on taking in around 3500 calories a day does that seem okay?

    Thanks.

Are you eating pizza off the floor? How is it dirty?

No i'm not eating pizza off the floor but I probably would if I was drunk. When i'm talking about pizza, i'm talking about pizza from a fast food joint. Does greasy pizza sound clean to you?

This is what many people mean by dirty bulk too. However when others say clean bulk they mean putting on muscle with little or no fat gain, i.e. just going a little over their normal food intake. So you could in theory clean bulk on donuts pizza & beer. Dirty bulk is not caring about putting on fat, and eating lots which is what you mention. So really you are asking about doing a dirty bulk with some junk food.

I dunno who coined the terms clean/dirty bulk but you'd think they would have had the foresight about the confusion it would cause. I would have called it lean bulking or something, and non-lean or fat/fattening bulking.

It's usually best to avoid sugar and processed carbohydrates in large quantities - but I wouldn't worry too much about it if you dont mind putting on fat, if you're not consuming excessive amounts of sugar or salt, and if your digestive system is stable.
