Windows 7 unsucessful update

I downloaded a windows 7 starter update and clicked to instal, since then i've been able login with my password but haven't been able to use windows, all that comes up is explorer.exe not installed

Try using Startup Repair and System Restore to restore your computer to the point before the update was installed.

Take a look at:

In particular, follow the instructions under "To open the System Recovery Options menu on your computer".

When you have the System Recovery Options menu in front of you, click on System Restore and follow the instructions on-screen.
