Need to Run Apple Hardware Test

My iMac has frozen twice in the last two days and required a restart. Is there a way to run the hardware test without the disc? I took out my DVD drive and replaced it with an SDD drive so I can't use the disc to run the test.

This might be of help - if you're running Lion.

Intel-based Macs: Using Apple Hardware Test

For some Apple computers that shipped with OS X Lion, if Apple Hardware Test cannot be found on the hard drive, an Internet-based version starts up instead.
