Vidic suspended sure for his red card in last game. Doesnt really matter what team he puts out tonight, cant see anything bar an easy Utd win.

I said back after the Benfica game that a massive mistake was made, treating it as a glorified reserve game or as nothing more than a chance to give fringe players game time. So many dropped points later and here we are needing to win games to qualify, when it should be job done and the pressure off.

That aside, I hope Fabio has a stormer, and then gets to keep the left back spot for a few weeks.

I agree, and think that this highlights exactly why we did not need Wesley wasshisname in the summer. Rooney and Sneijder are very similar players, so if Rooney is not ideal for playing in midfield, why would anybody think Sneijer was?

We could have bought Sneijder sure, but we would still have needed two proper midfielders.

Rooney midfield isn't that big of a deal is it? with Fletcher rested and Carrick and Cleverly out it seems like the logical option. Either him, Jones or Park and I'd know who I'd prefer
