Give Andy Kenny a shout, he's renting his place in the docklands out for €10 an hour PAYG. I've no idea how good it is, I just saw the flyer yesterday for it!!

If it looks like Crossfit, smells like Crossfit and sounds like Crossfit...

    Nice space tho.

Crossfit influenced! I'm not sure if Dara is going to affiliate though!

...insofar as the info section is pretty much 100% journal writing word for word, the workouts are called WODs and a whole load of other stuff :D

What if he called them daily workouts instead, and used a similar structure to crossfit but made up his own stuff daily?

What is the annual affiliation fee these days? Was 3k last I heard. Or how far off am I?

Oh know don't get me wrong, he can legally do everything he's doing as far as I know. I was just lol'n at how CF it was without it being CF.

But at the same time it means he can pull all the good CF stuff and ignore the bad, which is awesome!!

I think the affiliation fee is 3k alright but would have to check. Which is a bit stupid considering there's a rumour going around that I'm opening a CF gym and it's at its advanced stages!!

    !

Bingo - it's something I'm entertaining myself -I'm primarily a martial arts type gym, but I'm looking at kicking off some workouts bringing in rings/trx, kettlebells, bodyweight and barbell work as well.

I like the idea, but not alot of the bs that can sometimes accompany it.....like you did yourself, I might even attend the level 1 course to get a better idea of what it's all about.

That's the jist of it! I think it's €3k a year, so many pro's & con's of affiliating is it really worth the hassle?

Hmmm..I'll just invent my own -> ThaiFitExtreme..I could give people grades according to how well the perform the wods.

Of course, they'd have to pay to grade, and buy their belts only from me.

Imagine having a blackfeld in ThaiFitExtreme. How cool would that be!

But are you as much of a legend (in general not just fight terms) as Bas? You get the oppurtunity to pay to be affiliated with his greatness!!

You're going to invent fitness? Doesn't someone else own that?

I started Fight Camp a month or so ago and I'm told I look like Bas Rutten all the time. Ergo, Basfit=Fightcamp. I should probably just go ahead and tell people I am Bas.

I'd say affiliation isn't the worst thing in the world if it costs circa 3k. You get a well established brand name and all the good stuff that goes with that. But if someone decides to do the Crossfit workouts in their gyms, or even basically use the whole Crossfit mentality in their programming but doesn't affiliate to Crossfit, what's wrong with that? They're just not paying for the promotional tool and marketing.

You also get the injuries, ramblings of the couch & babies under Olympic bars.
When Crossfit becomes more mainstream in this country this is what will be focused on when some hack in the SINDO does a write up on it.
Sure didn't you know creatine is the devil & MMA is human cock fighting!? :pac::pac:

I honestly don't recall somebody else claiming they invented it, so I'm just going to go ahead and say it.

    Yes.

I invented fitness. Everybody on here owes my royalties. I'll send on my Paypal a/c information via pm.

Well I thought I invented fitness, but then someone on facebook told me that they invented it. Then I looked on the internet and it turns out people were doing this fitness lark years ago.

I'm so confused, but send me the Paypal stuff because it's probably best not to take the chance.

That's the thing - can you afford not to be ThaiFitEXTREME affiliated? It's got EXTREME in the title so it must be good.

It's uncanny, you should start calling yourself El Guapo Grande just to emphasize your man beauty! You should also put on a Dutch accent & go around liver punching people
