I wouldn't consider ham and buter and even bread as a healthy lunch.
Much more important question is - what do you do except selecting food to make your live healthy? ;-)

Recently I've been bringing in a toasted wholemeal pitta (toasted in the morning when i get up) and filled with low fat ementhal cheese, ham & lashings of mustard)

Pretty darn tasty - and not too bad for you either :D

I'd have thought thats quite healthy?! whole meal bread, bit of veg bit of protein bit of dairy - everything covered! Its possibly a bit too much bread though?
My main problem for lunch is that if I eat a good healthy salad, I'm hungry again too soon!
I therefore try to have a small dinner-like meal for lunch, today I had chicken curry with rice, heavy on the veg!

Tomorrow I'm bringing in brocolli, cabbage, red pepper and tinned tuna with some olive oil.

hey, the key is pretty straight forward - eat regulary (in exact same time everyday) at least three (or four) times a day something small plus regular lunch and you won't be starving. Also, don't eat anything after 7pm.
I know it might be hard, but you know - no pain, no gain :)

I made a chunky kinda soup last week lasted about 1 week. Made it had a bowl of it and froze the rest of it for when I needed it. This might be and option for ye. A good hot sized bowl of it for winter is great

I didnt put any bad stuff in really... chicken stock , leaks , onion, brocoli and cauliflower and 2 potatoes. was quite nice
