    Sunday

    Dolphins @ Chiefs (5pm)
    Falcons @ Colts (5pm)
    Bucs @ Saints (5pm)
    Jets @ Bills (5pm) (Sky Sports 2)
    Seahawks @ Cowboys (5pm)
    Browns @ Texans (5pm)
    49ers @ Redskins (5pm)

    Bengals @ Titans (8:05pm)
    Broncos @ Raiders (8:05pm)

    Giants @ Patriots (8:15pm)
    Rams @ Cardinals (8:15pm)
    Packers @ Chargers (8:15pm) (Sky Sports 2)

    Ravens @ Steelers (00:30am) (Channel 4)

    Monday

    Bears @ Eagles (01:35am) (ESPN)

I'm almost sure I've got the times right (I've taken them from Google so blame them if it's wrong, not me :pac:).

It looks like being a decent weeks action with a few very attractive games, especially Ravens @ Steelers. Steelers will be up for this one big time after the battering they took from the Ravens in week 1. A big game is needed from Flacco although I can't say I'll be holding my breath

Elsewhere, I fancy the Jets to upset the odds against the Bills and the Giants to give the Patriots a very tough game winning on the +8.5 points handicap.

Bucs @ Saints and Jets @ Bills are two huge divisional games with significant play-off implications. The loser of Bears @ Eagles will have a huge task to be playing football in January.

does that mean the late game is back at 1.30am on C4... god dammit - 12.30 was well handy with the extra hour in bed after it

Steelers have been looking decent in the past couple of weeks and the Ravens have been terrible in the games against the Jags and Jets (well D was good v Jets)

but it's a big rivalry game so hopefully the Ravens will be up for it and it could be a cracker....

Bears Eagles on Monday night looks like a really nice match-up as well... hopefully my Eagles can keep the form from the game against Dallas into the game and pull out a win at home...

and Broncos Raiders just so we can see Tebow capitulate or show that he can do the goods... either way Tebow fans will still be out there saying he's the next big thing but for the rest of us it'll hopefully help us make our minds up for good for this season anyways...

Is it really fair or even possible to judge someone after starting about 5 games in the NFL? Surely he'd need at least a full season as a starting QB before people can make the assumption that he's up to the task?

I'll be the first to admit I don't know a whole lot about Tebow, but everywhere I read stuff about the NFL lately it seems to be about the whole circus and people saying he has one game to prove he can do it or not.

It seems very harsh to me.

To prove he has potential even for the rest of the season... he's played like a fish out of water for the last 2 games.... (bar 5 minutes at the end of the Dolphins game) for a guy that so much hype wrapped around him for so long

I'm all for giving the guy a chance but I think he needs to sit on the bench for the next year or two to develop imo... it's all been said before but like him or hate him - this week is a big week for Tebow - should be interesting to see how he does anyways... simply because of the hype...

Wow the two night games are actually attractive this week ! A rarity this season due to injuries and what not !

Packers V Chargers... Rivers will be smarting but I don't think he has the weapons with teh injuries atm to overcome us. I don't think It'll be easy as the Ravens will be powered up for this and can't afford to be loosing now. But with the week off the Packers should have too much energy, power and professionalism to let a road victory slip by.

This is the week for Carson Palmer to prove himself. The Broncos pass defense is pathetic, if he can't get through it he's hopeless.

Id say he will. Raiders should never have put him in that first game as it was never going to go well for him. With TJ Whosyourmama now a raider it helps Palmer find open men. I expect Moore to have a huge game this weekend. I know I grabbed him in every fantasy league also :D This bye week gone for the Raiders will be huge for Palmer and the Raiders especially coming into this weekend as you said against the Broncos. That Raiders D stuffs Tebow and Palmer will get plenty of time on the field.

The game was over at that stage so at least give Palmer as much reps and playing time as he can get to help me get used to game speed quicker. I'm sure that time he got against the Chiefs was a help to him while it cost the team nothing.

Much better games on this week. Looking forward to Jets@Bills. Jets will be under pressure if they lose.

Some cracking games this week, Ravens at Steelers obviously but yes, Jets and Bills looks great too

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,341 ✭✭✭✭Chucky the tree

Bengals vs Titans game is also pretty huge. A win for the Bengals and 6-2 puts them in prime position for a play-off spots while the Texans will want a win to keep pace with the Texans and their wildcard hopes. If Bills/Pats and Bengals all win it'd would nearly make the wild card spots a shoot-out between those 3 teams and Steelers vs Ravens. Plenty of other teams will want to win to keep themslves in contention too. Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs all on 4-3 in the West which is set up to be a great 3 way battle. Raiders playing the chargers next thursday aswell.

Let's see how I do with predictions this week got 9 out of 13 last week.
    Sunday

    Dolphins @ Chiefs
Dolphins pick up their first win of the season.

    Falcons @ Colts
Falcons remain in the hunt for a playoff, the Colts for Andrew Luck

    Bucs @ Saints
Saints to right the wrongs of last week and go 6-3 in this big divisional match up.

    Jets @ Bills
Bills win narrowly, Jets facing a tough time of making the playoffs.

    Seahawks @ Cowboys
Rivers redeems himself from MNF, Romo does his usual

    Browns @ Texans
Texans win, stay top of AFC South.

    49ers @ Redskins
49ers go 7-1 in a blowout against the 'Skins.

    Bengals @ Titans
    Titans to edge this.

    Broncos @ Raiders
    Tebow doesn't inspire once more.

    Giants @ Patriots
A Brady master class in a big Patriots win.

    Rams @ Cardinals
Rams win another but this is pretty much a dead rubber game.
    Packers @ Chargers

    Ravens @ Steelers
Steelers are just better set up for this game.

    Monday

    Bears @ Eagles
    Eagles gaining momentum, go 4-4

The last few Channel 4 games have been appalling - through no fault of the lads presenting - but it's late to be watching TV for the likes of Vikings @ Bears (just awful), Colts @ Saints and Cowboys @ Eagles (both so one sided I should have switched off after the first quarter).

So: is there any chance Ravens @ Steelers will be a good, fairly evenly matched game? I know it's a big rivalry, but that doesn't guarantee much.

This is a huge game for the Jets, more so that any of the others so far this season.

We really have to get our running game going in full flow to have a chance of beating the Bills (who rightly should be favourites).
If the Jets keep Fitzpatrick and co off the field for long stretches we should win.

Stevie Johnson have a good time on Revis Island, so that leaves Fred Jackson the real other legitimate threat to worry about. He's probably going to have a huge day.

Delighted Sky are showing this too. They were originally supposed to continue their love affair with the Bucs and show them @ Saints.

Last Sunday they were still saying they were going to show the fcuking Broncos again at 9 when you had Chargers-Packers and Giants-Patriots on at the same time.

I know. Last weekend, during the live broadcast, they were saying that they were showing Denver @ Oakland at 9pm this Sunday. They've now subsequently changed that!

Every week so far we have had at least two strong favs beaten. One week we had 6 favs turned over out of thirteen played!
    The list of favs this week looks like this;

    Kansas at home to Miami
    Dallas at home to Seattle
New Orleans at home to Tampa
    Houston at home to Cleveland
Buffalo at home to The Jets
    Tennessee at home to Cincinnati
    Oakland at home to Denver
Patriots at home to The Giants
Arizona at home to St. Louis
    Steelers at home to Baltimore
    Eagles at home to Chicago
    San Francisco away to Washington
    Atlanta away to Colts
    Packers away to San Diego
The stats say that at least two of these favs are turned over..

I think that Tampa have beaten the Saints already this year and this is the worst possible team for a recently spanked Saints to be going up against so soon.
Buffalo have a real tough work out coming against The Jets but I still see them out muscling them.
I cant see why the Bengals are underdog to the Titans this week! I think the Bengals are a far better team than they are being given credit and +3 is a steal IMO...
Arizona are simply garbage and after running up a huge lead allowed the flapping Ravens back and eventually giving them the game.. St. Louis may still be basking in success after this..
Both night games are gonna be crackers! Eagles are back on the rail line but can come unstuck against a formidable Bears unit.. The Steelers and the Ravens is always gonna be a war of attrition. If the Ravens get at Ben as they did already expect a surprise at Heniz Field..
    Best of luck.....

    M

Ravens-Steelers games are almost invariably low-scoring defensive master-classes, so it'd be surprising to see one team run away with it.

Can't blame NBC from a scheduling point of view - when they were making it, the division champion Bears against a likely revitalized Vikings seemed fantastic and Saints-Colts with Manning would have had the potential to be the game of the season.

In week 11 the 'locked in' SNF games end and NBC get to select a choice game for the 8pm slot, so there's going to be able to avoid potential dead rubber games. The only locked in game between weeks 11-17 is Chicago @ Green Bay in week 16.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,416 ✭✭✭FreeOSCAR

Ok so for SNF Rescheduling the games currently Penciled from week 10 onwards are.

Week 10: Pats @ Jets (Already confirmed a Keeper)
Week 11: Eagles @ Giants (Should be a Keeper)
Week 12: Steelers @ Chiefs (If played now would be kept)
    Week 13: Colts @ Pats[/B] (Defo Moved)
    Alternatives based on Current Standings
    Falcons @ Texans
    Bengals @ Steelers
    Lions @ Saints
    Packers @ Giants

Week 14: Giants @ Cowboys (Oooh, depends on how both progress)
Week 15: Ravens @ Chargers (Again the Same as Week 14)
Week 16: Bears @ Packers (Confirmed a Keeper)

I'd love to, trust me. However, if I do that I'll be like a zombie on Tuesday and Wednesday when I need to be wide awake. I'll watch a quarter, maybe the first half, and catch the highlights on NFL.com tomorrow evening.

Houston completely OWNING the browns on the ground tonight... Foster is a machine and Tate is a complete stud as well. They might be able to get a few nice picks for him next offseason.

Two catches for 40 odd yards but Jones is putting up the numbers two catches, 130 yards and two TDs

Foster and Tate averaging 6.9 and 12.8 yards per carry respectively. Browns are horrible against the run tonight.

Barkley will be a good consolation prize. He's a pretty good prospect. Although it depends on who the new coach in miami is. Chance they could go with Jones.

This is a joke. 7 early kickoffs, 7 blowouts, 0 games left competitive in the 4th quarter...zzzzzzzzzzz..............
