Just saw the link on http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20541325,00.html myself.
I watch the show and they seem SO mismatched. They didn't seem in sync at all.

Sad? Was it ever real in the first place? Who the hell stays married to someone for only 70 days? If they weren't so busy selling their lives to people they might be able to concentrate on a relationship.

The Kardashians are parasites and people who watch their programme are morons.

I heard that her agents were shopping around for a husband. They barely knew each other and they got married.

Yup...she made 15 million, nice payday for whOring yourself for 72 days, no doubt the Kardashi spin machine will blame Kris for everything, she'll make even more now from the exclusives.

More press, more publicity....she's loving it!

Which Kris hubby or mummy :p

This wedding was only for the mega bucks

At least he can change his name back to CHris now.

I'm surprised it lasted this long. It was obvious it was fake from the beginning. I find the Kardashians oddly mesmerising but I couldn't watch the wedding special. It was obvious she was desperate to have a wedding, not a marriage.

Radaronline are having a field day....she's getting a roasting though across the net and celeb sites, think Kris will come out the best from this, everyone thinks she used him as a pawn to cash in, i agree.

I hope this makes a dent in their vile fame whore empire, but I reckon all their braindead fans will be back for more.

Jean Luc Picard was right, never trust the Khardashians, they're worse than the Klingons.

Kardashian's close friend Ryan Seacrest confirmed the couple's divorce on Twitter, writing: "Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her."

    So it was infidelity? :pac:

I disagree with people who think the fans are brain dead, just because people watch the show dosen't mean there brain dead, maybe they just like the entertainment purposes of the show... Like anything on television, why do people watch the 'x factor' for the entertainment, not because they think its going to increase their knowledge...

I agree. I watch their shows. I admit, I watch a lot of crap TV, but I am not stupid.

I love to people watch, and watch a lot of reality TV and documentaries. I spend most of my time giving out about it but I find it entertaining.

Ok well brain dead might be a bit strong, but I do seriously question why people watch these kinds of programmes. I totally understand why people like to switch off and not have to think too much about what they're watching. But these kinds of reality shows really bother me because the people in them are making millions of dollars for basically acting like tools. So by watching them, they continue to make ludicrous amounts of money for nothing. It also promotes acting irresponsibly and not having to work hard to earn said money. I teach teenage girls, and it is scary how many of them have said to me that they love watching the programme because they want to live that kind of life themselves. Where's the ambition?!

Anyhoo, that's a bit off topic in ways- but it just highlights I suppose how pointless these programmes are apart from making money for the "stars" and how pointless that wedding was apart from making money for the "couple" involved. Pathetic, but hey, they've obviously sucked people in and achieved what they set out to do...

Exactly my point, I'm not stupid either but I still enjoy watching their shows, as do I enjoy watching the xfactor and many other reality t.v shows :D

I understand what you're trying to say, but I don't see the programme as any harm if its by means of entertainment.
If acting like tools is what they get paid to do, then let them off, they are successful in doing so, if you acted like a tool and got paid millions for doing so wouldn't you keep it up?
People watch this show because they find it interesting or funny, not because they want to be like the Kardashians.
Saying this, the Kardashian girls have jobs actually working in their store 'Dash' and 'Smooch'.
Even if this doesn't bring in 100% of their income they still have a job.

In fairness, most adults that watch it are fairly realistic about that. But I'm telling you, as someone who teaches teenage girls- a lot of them do want that instant fame/fortune kind of life. And I'm not talking about the less academic ones, I'm including ones who would be seen as middle to high achievers. Just act like a tit in front of a camera and there you have it, instant fame and fortune.

I'm assuming they'll grow out of that, but still, at a time when the world's their oyster, and THIS is what they aspire to be?!?!? Depressing.

I seen the wedding "special" on E!. FOUR feckin hours long!! (Thank god, I recorded it and fast-forwarded through the majority). Kim & Kris didn't seem compatible at all. Snapping at each other, petty arguments, didn't have their own home together etc.

Ugh, let them on! But I would like my wedding present back!:pac:

It's because they don't want to work a 9/5 job....much like glamour models, they see it as an easy job and alot of money/"glamorous".

It's sad to think at one time being a nurse was considered a fulfilling job, now it's considered a dogs body and crap. Alot of these girls now just want to bag a footballer or get pregnant by one (entrapment) and live off his money.

    :(

    This smells fishy! http://www.tmz.com/2011/11/06/kim-kardashian-minnesota-photo/

^hmmm....anyone think this "divorce" was staged for publicity/money?....that they'll "reconcile" and get back together?

No I think they rushed into the marriage. I'd say Kim knew she didn't want to marry him before the wedding but couldn't afford to pull out of a 10 million dollar deal.

I agree, I think she was desperate to get married (that really comes across in the TV programme) and she would have married anyone that came along. Once she realised it wasn't the best idea it was too late to back out.

She signed the pre-nup so obviously like most glamorous weddings she just wanted to gain money rather than spend..

    ?

It's all a show for the cameras. They have someone to run their stores for them. I would say they only set foot on their stores when it makes good tv.

I agree completely, they would have business managers galore to do that for them. It's hardly likely you can walk in to the shop and have one of them serve you. I'd imagine people run it for them and keep them informed monthly or something on sales etc.

I dont think they knew each other that well to get married. I mean come on after only 9 or 10 months dating they got married. Thats very fast. So I am not surprised it didn't last.

I was thinking of the same thing too. Probably knew a guy or two, but probably didn't bat an eyelid and muster the effort to really know who's really working hard for their "career". They sure do had it easy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 142 ✭✭shannie

You guys? Does it really matter, basically these Kardashian girls are so popular for people loving and hating them... You guys right now are making them that little more popular by talking about them. Weather these girls work or not there still making a life for themselves and pretty good ones at that.. They seem happy, there rich and have nice family and homes.. what more could you want? Lucky for them they don't have to work if so.. If you had the option wouldn't you do it too? Just saying....

Apparently after she filed for a divorce, there has been a petition being signed by people online to pull out Kardashian Show. http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/no-more-kardashian/sign.html#se

I think she got married now, at her peak fame wise, to make as much money as possible while still "famous". This time next year she coul be a nobody and not make a penny from it or god forbid have to actually pay for th wedding. $10/20m isn't bad for a few months work.
