    3-1 Liverpool

    Carroll, Gerrard, Bellamy.

Given it's Roy I'd fancy brom to get a draw here.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,100 ✭✭✭tommyhaas

It will hinge on Liverpool's ability to take their chances. I can see this being a score draw, but as with the Utd, Sunderland and Norwich games, Liverpool could easily take the 3 points if they can take their chances

I think Suarez will get a goal today now his "blockage" has been cleared. No Shane Long for WBA of course which is a help, the last time the Baggies won three on the bounce in the PL was in 2003.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,785 ✭✭✭killwill

Shane Long is a huge absentee for WBA. I see Liverpool just about sneaking this.
    Going for 1-2

Tight game. Draw or Pool to win by the odd goal.

Liverpool win or a draw I think. I'd like to see Carroll starting and getting a goal too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,902 ✭✭✭RayCon

Im going to be ridiculously optimistic and say 1-5 ... sooner or later our # of chances have to convert to goals and someone is going to be on the end of a hiding. Here's hoping it's today.

After a couple of draws, I hope to see a return to winning ways today. We should have too much for them but of course anything could happen, as QPR porved last week.
I really hope Carroll plays as well as he did in his last game - a goal would be very welcome, but if he puts in a good shift I'll be happy with that.
I would really liike to see Agger and Coates side by side but I'm sure Carra will return.
A win by 2 goals and no injuries please.

Have a feeling this could be a scrappy 1 nil win for Liverpool. Gerrard to score.

It's not from the usual guy on twitter but one of the mods on rawk says the team today is - Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Lucas, Gerrard, Adam, Henderson, Downing; Suarez

word is Carra has been on the slide since 2008 :p

Love if that was the first XI for today

I reckon it will be 1-1 with Suarez and Brunt on the scoresheet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43,311 ✭✭✭✭K-9

    A 4-2-3-1 then?

Probably the best formation against a Roy team.

Going for a 2-1 win for Liverpool, Gerrard and Suarez.

I think it will be 2-1 to pool,
    adam and Jose Enrique

Scoreless draw I reckon. Usual story for us, missing sh!t loads of chances in the first-half and then producing an average second half.

Rumor doing the rounds on twitter that Gerrard has broken down again and could be out till Christmas!

Nothing confirmed but Gerrard reported to be out until Christmas. Let's wait to hear from Kenny.

Annoyingly these things have a tendency to be true. Gutted if so.

    Gerrard out with ankle infection.

    What happened to Carra?

    Would prefer Coates to Skrtel.

Carra did his calf. Gerrard isnt expected to be too serious time will tell though

reckon this will be scrappy, 0-0 or a 1-0 to pool

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,787 ✭✭✭Jayob10

i'll be honest, id be alot more worried if it was Suarez we had to do without.

Meaningless stat, but in both games Stevie has started this season we have not won. Both home games aswell.

Should find out about Gerrard when Dalglish is interviewed on ESPN in a few mins.

Scoreless draw I reckon. Usual story for us, missing sh!t loads of chances in the first-half and then producing an average second half.

The only good thing is if we have an average second half Hodgson isn't competent enough to alter his team to take advantage of it. :pac:

I think it shows how the squad has improved that I'm not as worried about Gerrard not starting as I would have been 12 months ago.

Plumping for Liverpool and Suarez anytime goalscorer today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,535 ✭✭✭joe123

    Feck no Gerrard today :(

Im worried about today. Last week I was full of confidence, this week im thinking a 1-1 or a 2-1 to WBA.

We really cant afford to drop anymore points. We completely blew our league lead over Arsenal as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43,311 ✭✭✭✭K-9

Well that ITK team was pretty crap, so hopefully the Gerrard rumour is the same.

Like the look of that, Henderson needs to have a good game though.

You should be more worried about gaps opening ahead than closing behind you.

I backed Liverpool to win lads so unfortunately I've surely put the blight on them so expect a draw or Brom win. Sorry:(

there does look to be a nice balance to that team. Hopefully we hold a high defensive line, press high up the pitch and let our full backs overlap.

Have to say im optimistic seeing that starting XI. Amazing to think Skrtel and Agger have been at the club a long time now and this will be one of the very few times they have started together in the league.

Important they step up to the mark and impress as a pairing.

We all give out about Carra (i do anyways) so a clean sheet today will give Kenny food for thought.

Think you have to do that against WBA or a Roy team, but it's hard to do that when Carra is playing so a bonus there.

Fox link is up and running atm and going good if you can stick the american pre match build up. Not sure who commentators will be.

Yes link (1st one) was top notch for United game and Bloodzeed was the same for Arsenal game.

Should all be good for this hopefully!
