    Don't shoot the messenger ...

Ryan Tubridy is joined by musician Christy Moore, Florence and the Machine, journalist Paul Williams, singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan and comedian Neil Delamere. Plus, live updates from the presidential election count

Christy Moore can be good. Will be interesting to compare Tubs's interview with him to Gay Byrne's effort during the Summer

Not being smart - but is it not the same with all chat shows worldwide???

    For example -

    The Graham Norton Show.

10.50pm. BBC1. The second show in Graham's new run of 23 sees Scottish actor turned Hollywood star James McAvoy, discuss his role in new animated movie Arthur Christmas, which also features the voices of Jim Broadbent and Bill Nighy. Plush top comic John Bishop and national treasure Joanna Lumley will be astride the couch; while the Arctic Monkeys perform their new single, Suck It And See.

Christy Moore AGAIN on RTE. Does anyone under 60 like this guy?

He has a large fanbase of all ages - good performer and a very witty interviewee.

A rare decent booking by the LLS.

bloody hate the late late but to be fair

Graham Norton is based in the Uk which is a far larger country

As a result they get bigger stars many of which live there and can travel easily to his show, example of this include many of the people he has on as guests

This is comparable to comparing Norton to Leno who may have on Tom Cruise.

As to people only on as they are promoting stuff...duhhhh

Quite a good lot of musicians on tonight

With Florence on i may actually watch the late late to my shame. surprised westlife arent on for the 50th time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

Its very music based tonight. Christy is ok, but just sing...we don't need an interview. Florence & the Machine are usually pretty good. Lisa Hannigan is class, and easy on the eye too. Wouldn't mind her being interviewed as can't ever remember her talking on any show.

I like Paul Williams, if he is let at it he can be interesting but i fear Ryan will be interrupting him and lead him of on a tangent about something more mundane.

Paul Williams move to The News Of The World may come up (not) bearing in mind it was closed down some months ago.

He's as Irish as cow sh!te. I never liked his stupid ballads

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,614 ✭✭✭ArtSmart

    hehe. Sweaty muscians huh?

anyway, Moore can be pretty outspoken, so hopefully he'll be interviewed, as i'd say he's busting to get a few digs in somewhere. no western on TG4 so might have to take a peek, now and then. (3e has 2 eps of American Dad i havent seen 10-11 so, it'll be a flicking job

(em, flicking the er remote that is...)

He's now working for The Sun, wonder does he have a daily column or what. He normally presents the criminals in such a way that any scumbag watching will aspire to be such a career criminal, especially when he waffles on about their wealth and ability to live above the law, there should be a health warning before and after he's on.

Ray Darcy would be a good choice for an alternative presenter. Love him on Today FM on theway to work!

Nicknames that Paul Williams did not use for criminals:

    The Gerbil
    The Meerkat
    The Harmless Grass Snake.

Ray is good, very good at the light hearted stuff more so. Don't think he'd be suited to Late Late tho. Reckon it needs to be cut by at least 30 mins, that would help and cut out 1 or maybe 2 "just make up the time" kinda guests.

DLB will be in the horrors tonight.....he was plastered on the front page of the tabloids today because he is, to use their emotive language, "haemorrhaging listeners" from his old fogey show on 2fm....

No Sean Moncrieff in the poll? He's head and shoulders above all the people listed there imo. He'd be an excellent LLS host.
