    You're not getting enough sleep

Hair actually grows slower while you are asleep then when you are awake because your heart rate slows and most of your body almost goes into a shut down mode so the more your awake the faster your hair is going to grow

From you previous posts I see you're a Chelsea fan - sounds like you're getting at least a good 90 minutes of sleep a week

My last haircut was 1998. My hair is now entering the awkward teen years :)

    About 3 times a year

Every 4 - 6 weeks or so. Am I the only one who likes going to get their hair cut, especially if it's one of those hot eastern European girls they have in Knights in Stephens Green... :)

My hair actually grows quicker in the summer so i get it cut every 3 weeks, and now it doesnt grow as quick so is around every 4 weeks.

I used to get mine cut every 6 weeks like hairdressers recommend but 48 euro every six weeks is a bit much. Also I've been trying to grow my hair out and it's starting to look like rats tails but I don't want another spa to cut 6 inches off my hair again like in May so I just keep it tied up now.

What hair are we talking about here? :o

I get mine cut every 2 weeks. I get him to do it with a no 2 but might try a no 1 tomorrow and see if i get better value.

I bought a Phillips shaver with a rotary head, so I shave it myself every 2 weeks, the thing has paid for itself a dozen times over.

    Every 4 weeks.

About 4 times a year. I'd get it cut more often if it didnt cost between 40-50 quid for a cut and blow dry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,165 ✭✭✭Savage Tyrant

At least once a week. I keep it shaved to the no guard level on my shaver.

I cut my own hair. Number two on the back and sides number 3 on top. About once every 4/5 weeks.

Short and tidy is the only way to go.

I was going to do that but its hard to do your own hair i would think.

I usually find I get less funny looks when I let someone else cut my hair.

I haven't had a haircut in about 18 months... Don't have the cash.

I'm getting it cut short in January though, and hopefully that'll keep me going for another 18 months

when it needs it, I dont go for blades, I want to leave there looking like its shorter, but the same style

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,940 ✭✭✭4leto

I was going to do that but its hard to do your own hair i would think.

It was at the beginning, but workable, but now its just routine grooming. One of the best money saving things I ever bought.

Every few months, or when ever I get bored with it. Cut it about 3 or 4 weeks ago, and want to cut it again already. Usally a No4 or shorter.

If that dies on you try this. I've had the same one for about 5 years and it's still going strong.

Every month or so, get a scissors cut, using a shaver makes you look like a skanger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,238 ✭✭✭humbert

I cut my own hair with a scissors. My mummy says it looks lovely.

    Nah
It shaves about 10 years of you. Get it done once and you don't go back, its so convenient.

I've been averaging once a year for the last 3 years, before that I think I went about 3 years without a haircut..

About once every month or maybe a bit longer. My problem is that I don't trust any barbers. I don't know why but I just am afraid one of them will horribly make a balls of it.

I think its ridiculous when I hear of those people who get their hair cut every 5 days to a week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,814 ✭✭✭Nemanja91

Get a 1.5 all over every 4 weeks, I can't stand long hair.

Why? I have been cutting my own hair for years, and did exactly that during a few hot summers.

Just people with extremely skint hair going to the barbers every 5 days seems a bit odd to me when their hair hasn't even grown a millimeter.

50 quid a go?! I'm not surprised people's hair is skint.

Funny was just thinking about haircuts given Greece and 50% haircut.
Wheres Irelands Haircut? Is it too late to go out and burn down Dublin because thats how you seem to get results in Euro Land..
Actual Haircut one every two months..might ask for a 50% haircut next time.

Once a year,I absolutely detest getting my haircut!

Had mine shaved in June,so June 2012 is the eta for my next one.

It's looking a bit shaggy now,but as long as it stays out of my eyes I don't care.

Every month or so, I swear the barber puts miracle grow in that spray bottle he sprays on top at the nd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,027 ✭✭✭St.Spodo

Roughly every six weeks. The local hairdresser does a better job than the barber frequented by my friends, so I go there. This leaves me open to abuse. Haters gonna hate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,904 ✭✭✭✭Galwayguy35

Looks like some of the men like long hair judging by the posts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,713 ✭✭✭✭Novella

I had my hair cut about 6 weeks ago. Don't remember the last time before that, probably about a year previously. I cut my own fringe every month or so. I'm not a fan of going to the hairdressers at all.

    Nope

I'm assuming it means really short, or a tight hair cut. In that case they are more than likely doing their own as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66 ✭✭Cobbe354

I would say every 3-4 weeks.

Love a fresh haircut, however in my teens I used to rock the skater / Justin Beiber type hair. What was I thinking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

I'm cuttin my own hair right now with a machete while drinkin orphan tears.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 201 ✭✭username_x

meh every couple of months, i dont really bother with my hair i wear extensions in it anyways and clip the front back so you can't really notice my natural hair at all!!
