Gamestop pre-order

Hi all, can anyone advise me if BF3 is guaranteed for delivery on Friday from Gamestop? I can't take the chance on not having it this weekend!

I was told on another thread that it is likely to be delivered to you on friday if not the day before with an post standard mail .But if your not too sure about that you can do express mail :P I did an post standard mail because I think it will probably come before or on the day !

I got dark souls from gamestop.ie a few weeks ago.

pre-ordered on tuesday, release day was friday, delivered on thursday (express shipping). And hella cheap as well.

On my Gamestop order page it says 'Expected ship date 28-10-2011'.
I chose Express delivery. I assume this is the date it should reach me?

When i got dark souls it said expected shipping date: October 7th. Which was the release date. But i received it on the 6th, as did many others on boards. They never even tell you that they shipped it or anything. Just place order, wait for postman.

I emailed them three times on this and they said each time that they GUARANTEE to have it to us on release day if not before.

Can hard-copy guys bypass with the VPN or is it just digital downloads ?
Or is there even a difference

I would imagine we install the game from hard copy, then Origin updates the game with the first day patch.
I'm guessing it would not be on the hard copy version as they started printing a few weeks ago.
Then once it is up to date use the vpn method to activate/unlock it.

GS can really only guaranteed it if you go express.

There are surely a million postal-related factors that can go wrong once they give it to them, no?

If you log into gamestop.ie and check the order there should be a link to nightlines tracking website once it ships.

not sure, play can take a while to deliver. tomorrow at earliest (or if there is midnight release) from gamestop I'd imagine

Have you checked the tracking number on the site? Go to your order and click track order and it will give you the status of where it is.

Just got a call from the courier, it's on the way
