Sign of the times with the lack of interest I suppose.

Any 1-0, Gervinho. Cracking assist from Ramsey for it.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Djourou, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Andre Santos, Walcott, Song, Arteta, Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh. Subs: Fabianski, Rosicky, Park, van Persie, Arshavin, Frimpong, Benayoun.

Stoke: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Upson, Wilson, Whitehead, Delap, Whelan, Etherington, Walters, Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Huth, Jones, Diao, Shotton, Jerome, Palacios.

Have to say Whelan deserves some respect after Pulis drops him for a new midfielder and he keeps fighting his way back into the team.

Not able to watch th match today. How have arsenal been playing? Was it comical defending for the Stoke goal again??

Why are Stoke allowed to take so fucking long with their throws?

He's actually quite a decent player. He's always there.

Not watching but sounds like Arsenal were unlucky to concede the free which lead to the equaliser. Apparently Ramsey is playeing a stormer, at least thats something. Would be nice if they could win this without bringing RVP on.

    Is that Park warming up??

Gotta say, for all their detractors, Stoke play a really effective defensive game that's not bad to watch from a tactical p.o.v. - I'd be enjoying it but for the fact they're playing us.

Another good shift from Walcott, really earning that new deal he wants

We might maybe consider practicing corners seeing as we get so many of them.

We are ****ered if/when he gets injured this season.

You really can't begrudge him his move this summer.

I thought we were a one man team with Fab but now it's all about RVP, we'd be f00ked without him!

It's unbelievable how little threat we pose from them. we really need to sort set pieces out at both ends of the pitch.

I don't care if we break our wage structure, just make sure we keep him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,500 ✭✭✭✭cson

Song has been very good today too.

    Big player for us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,993 ✭✭✭Soups123

We should double his wages and pray he signs no messing around with his contract give him what he wants. Then sign a world class forward to share the burden.

Playing with snatches of the verve of old there now which is pleasing.

Todays display would give me optimism that we could make a push on the top 4 this season, especially if we can get TV and JW fit again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

Great to see an old school wide player at the arsenal, beating his man with pace. Well done Gerv

great win, and a pleasant game to watch for a change

To be honest it was in the balance up until the last 20 minutes and the introduction of RVP which makes my point about needing another out and out striker. Chamack is not it. If anything happens to RVP we are fcuked.
