    Manchester-United-Vs-Manchester-City.jpg

Biggest game of the season so far and the most highly anticipated Manchester derby in years.

    Possible line ups;

    de Gea

    Smalling
    Ferdinand
    Vidic
    Evra

    Fletcher
    Anderson

    Nani
    Rooney
    Young

    Welbeck

    Aguero

    Silva
    Toure
    Nasri

    Barry
    De Jong

    Clichy
    Lescott
    Kompany
    Richards

    Hart

Very difficult to predict the line ups after the Champions league games midweek.

United have won 24 of their last 25 PL games at Old Trafford, so they will be rightly confident going into this but City will be a massive test.

WooHoo! Can't wait for this. As far as Utd. go, I reckon Carrick is a definite to start.
    2-1 Utd.

Going to this...Since I haven't bought a programme or wore a jersey at a game (last one was West brom home) I've a 100% record this season and last (10-12 games)

No intention of changing it now!!

    Expect

    VDS
    -SMALLING
    VIDIC
    RIO
    EVRA-

    FLETCH

    ANDO
    -NANI
    ROONEY
    YOUNG-

    CHICO

    Prediction: 1-0 United

Chico. It will be Welbeck that starts if we go two up top imo.;)

Could be cracker. I go 2-2.

Hope United win, but not confident enough to think we will.

    Can't wait for this one.

All fell apart with Cashel's cider...Just tastes like sugar :pac:

On topic, I think United will have enough for this one. Obviously it will take a step up in performance from what we have seen in the last few matches, but with the resting of the squad between Liverpool and Galati I reckon the lads will be more than up for this one. United to take it 2-1 for me.

A City fan I think. The two lesbos in it are reds though so it's all good :D

Still would anyway, her hotness knows no bounds

So Young, Rio, Vidic, Rooney, De Gea and Evra are the only certs to start?

I know, but she just has too much class to be a City fan, a twinge of disappointment :D

And Smalling. No way can he be left out imo

Nani is close enough to a certainty aswell.

I would say Anderson is pretty nailed on as well, SAF seems to be trying to give him a proper run in the team, he hasnt really been left out much lately has he? (Apart from the Liverpool game obviously but that was a bit of a bizarre one)

I hope he starts. He normally plays better when he has to. I am not saying he always good when we play against top teams, but he seems be much more consistent against better teams.

Played well against the big teams before. It's the games against the Fulhams of this world where he seems dip if anything

A certain Mr. Fabregas would back up exactly what you are saying...

    1-2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,767 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Any reckon that Jones will start, seeing as he was rested midweek? Maybe in defensive midfield position just like against Liverpool last weekend

    Fletcher Jones
    Nani
    Rooney
    Young
    Welbeck

That might provide more protection against Silva, Nasri and Aguero, especially considering the amount of shots United have conceded this season so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,600 ✭✭✭jaykay74

It will be controversial. Utd will win by 1 and city will have someone sent off for a straight red, maybe De Jong if he plays.

I hope United score in the 97th minute, but there should only have been 6 minutes injury time.

1-1, I predict a very scrappy, tight game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,851 ✭✭✭Cill Dara Abu

I think this could be a 0-0 stalemate, City will go out to play for the draw IMO, and I don't think Fergie would be too disappointed with that.

I would love to see this team start.

    DDG

    Smalling Rio Vidic Evra

    Nani Anderson Fletcher Young

    Rooney Chico

Predicting a tight game, 1-1 or 2-1 to united.

24 wins out of 25 at home it's a fortress, I'd be pretty surprised if city turned us over here.

    My preference would be.

    DDG
    smalling jones vidic evra
    carrick
    nanin anderson young
    rooney
    wellbeck

Your right. We should be jealous OT is filled with tourists who leave 15 mins before game to avoid the traffic, with all their gift bags in hand. Kippax Stand vs Stretford End is the home comparison. We have a stand, you have an end.
