Thanks for everyone's previous contributions. This is my own two cents. Found a link for free dog & cat food samples from Husse Ireland. Just ordered some myself. https://ireland.husse.com/free-samples

    Did anyone get any sample?
Recieved an email from them asking for details of pet's breed/age/current food.

No. Got the moisturiser stuff though. Very nice.

    Thank Y'all.

Got an email back in November looking for the same information but havn't heard anything since.

  • Registered Users Posts: 227 ✭✭penelope2012

I sent details for my dog and cat got two sample packs in post a week later with a voucher for money off. I think the bags they sell are quite large so I am not sure about the dog food I will definitely buy the cat nuts when I run out though.

After clicking that link, there also seems to be free Irish Rugby trading cards and album on the same site. I can't seem to find any promotion or price related to them. So i am guessing.

Filled in, got a thanks, allow 30 days for delivery message, so I assume all is good, though most of the cards will require buying Glenisk yoghurts by the looks of it.

This is a good idea, but I personally prefer to add the +suffix on my gmail account and then be able to trace who leaked/sold my email address on to others.

If for example your gmail is suckit(at)gmail.com, you can use suckit+literallywhatever(at)gmail.com

Then what do you do with this information once you find out?

Sorry to hear that I must be one of just a few who got the sample though it cost 4 euro in stamps to send out maybe it proved too costly for the company.

Take it you're talking about the Husse dog food samples? If so they have agents in the counties, who will phone you and that's how you get them. I know this, as it took 3 years to get a sample off them, wasn't suited to my mutt and stuff the hassle to get a sample. Imagine how it will be to get your regular supply!

Just seen Husse promoting the free samples via facebook.

If you are shopping in supervalu on Saturday 10th Feb you can pick up a bag of own brand porridge for free with any purchase.

Is that all Supervalue's or just certain stores ?

I've noticed in times past, that some don't always carry the various promotions - think it may be down to some being Musgrave stores and some being franchises or something.

    Thanks.

    Thanks,

    G.

i think some stores are approached by the likes of simon, the homeless people, and stores give the freebies to them.

Nice gesture if that's the case, but I'd love to be able to see confirmation of that for my local stores(s). Nice big signs in clear public view would have gone down well, for this sort of gesture I'd have thought.

    Thanks,

    G.

    Thanks for the link,

    but it actually says:

    Grab your Free Porridge!

Free with all online orders on 10th February while stocks last.

So, it may not be available in any stores, only for online shopping orders.

    Thanks,

    G.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,499 ✭✭✭Gormal

It's in stores nationwide and reported in the media.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,420 ✭✭✭garrettod

    Hi,

If that's the case then that's great and I do appreciate you calling it out,

but to be fair here, you provided a link and when I opened it, it only referred to online orders :)

    Thanks,

    G.

I specifically went in Saturday it's the only supermarket in our town too, but there was no sign up and no free porridge to be seen.
