which carriers will be stocking the nexus prime?

So with me due an upgrade in November I had my eye on the Galaxy S2, am currently using the Galaxy S1 (great phone imo)

Now that I've seen details of Google/Samsung next device the Galaxy Nexus/ Nexus prime (whatever they decide its called) running Ice cream Sandwich, I've decided to prob opt for this over the S2.

Anyone have any confirmation which of the Irish carriers will be stocking this, am currently with three, really Hope they'll be stocking this!

3 are generally good for their selection of phones.

The details of the Prime haven't even been released yet (anything that has come out is rumours), I very much doubt anyone knows which networks will carry it. The Nexus S was a vodafone exclusive AFAIK

Its expected to be announced this Wednesday at a Samsung/Google joint event in San Diego. Its supposed to also include information about the new OS too.

The announcement is 3 O'clock tomorrow morning. Some Japanese carrier tweeted that they would be stocking the phone so hopefully companies around the world already know and are just waiting for the OK to tell everyone. So maybe by late tomorrow morning we will all know.

3 have confirmed they're going to have it in the UK so I'd expect them to have it over here too.

3 of the major carriers in the UK will have it so you would imagine there wont be an exclusivity deal. Here's hoping its across the board here although something tells me Meteor lagging behing o2, voda and 3.

Looks like Vodafone Ireland will be getting it anyway:

Vodafone might have an exclusive on this, judging by the wording here:
    http://forum.vodafone.ie/index.php?/topic/9022-galaxy-nexus/
...although it's a bit speculative at this stage.

so then it would be the same scenario as the galaxy s. vodafone got it first. I'm nearly sure O2 got it afterwards an am not sure about the others.

    but it was unlocked.

did vodafone eventually lock it or has it always been unlocked?

    that I dont know!

I bought it at the early stages, would be curious to know if any one bought it long after the release from O2 or vodafone

As far as I know the Nexus series are unlocked to any network by hardware (not physically possible for a network to lock it) so it doesn't really matter who stocks it, does it?

It does if your due a free upgrade and 'your' carrier isnt stocking it.;)
