Hip Dominat vs Knee Dominant lifts

    Deadlift
    Squat
    Front Squat
    Trap Bar deadlift

    Would you consider all of these lifts hip dominant or is there such thing as a knee dominant lift and if so which of these lifts would you consider knee dominant?

    The explanation for hip vs knee dominant is the greater power in the lift coming from the hip or knee.

    Squat, Front Squat, Trap Bar deadlift and Deadlift are knee dominant

    RDL's, Good mornings, reverse hyper are hip dominant

    Hips all the way...

    Knees for quad and hamstring isolation movements.

    I always thought deadlifts were hip dominant though.

    I'm in the same boat. My dead lift increased with glute work over quad work.

    Hip
    Knee (depending on how you do it)
    Knee
    Hip.

    Assuming that by hip vs knee dominant you mean Hip extension dominant vs knee extension dominant.
    Power doesn't come from joints. It comes from the muscles which extend the joint.
    So Will Heffernans thing of Hip dominant vs Quad dominant is probably better.

    I prefer Dan Johns thing though.
    A continuum with a full squat at one end and a hinge at the other.
    Most lower body exercises fit in between.

    Deadlift knee dominant? With all due respects - bollox.

    TBDL could go either way depending on tekkers.
