HP Laptop HDMI not working

    Hey folks,
    Probably me being ridiculously simple, but i've bought a HDMI cable to connect my HP G61 Laptop to my Philips 42 Plasma tv but the tv is showing 'No Signal'
    Can anyone offer me some useful tips please?
